You're probably saying to yourself, "Chains and Grains East? What's the East part about?" and "Isn't Chains and Grains usually in September not May?" Well people seem to love the tournament so much that I have decided to start running it twice a year!
So for the first Chains and Grains of the year we will be at 3 Creeks in Rising Sun!
The tournament itself is the same as years past, but if you are unfamiliar here is the rundown. One round of disc golf (18 holes). After completing your round the beer festival/Homebrew Competition starts. All players (21 and older) are able to walk around and try all the homebrew that has been entered and vote for their favorite. Once the round scores are calculated the winners are announced. There will be a bunch of prizes for winners and there will also be a bunch of prizes for CTP's. We will probably have some other disc golf oriented games going on during the beer tasting.
All players will receive a premium tournament stamped disc and a custom tournament glass for the beer tasting.
There will be live music.
The smoker will be going so there will be some delicious BBQ available for purchase.
If you are interested in making beer for the tournament (even if you don't have experience) send me an email [email redacted]. People that enter a beer into the competition get a discount on their entry into the disc tournament.
Inaugural Tags Round: We will also be running the Inaugural Cecil County Disc Golf Tag round at Chains and Grains. To make things easier I have an option included to pay for your tag ahead of time.
