This is not a tournament!
This is a place for volunteers to sign up for the event, choose their days and location, indicate their shirt size (if applicable) and include notes about spotter/hole/responsibility preferences.
The Chain Hawk Open has quickly grown to one of the premier events in the Florida and attracts players from all over the country (and Canada). The event runs at two courses simultaneously and requires massive coordination and volunteers to make it work. We could really use your help!
The event kicks off on Thursday with a skins match in the afternoon at Jonesville. We could use a few spotters to help stay ahead of the players on certain holes to help mark discs that go OB and to help find errant shots. Later that day, we will have a distance showcase at Jonesville. We could use volunteers to help mark discs and bring them back to players.
Friday through Sunday is the main attraction. We will need assistance spotting on various holes at both courses, assisting at tournament central for setup and breakdown, running errands, announcing players, delivering lunches, relieving players for lunches and restroom breaks, etc.
All volunteers will receive one event-stamped disc and lunch (lunch provided daily).
All volunteers who participate more than one day will also receive an event shirt.
All volunteers who participate three days or more will receive the full volunteer pack which includes the disc and shirt as well as most of the other items the players receive.
Please select the appropriate items when registering.
What to bring.
Spotters should bring a stool or small chair (that can be easily relocated) for down times. Small cooler or water bottle. Lunch will be provided, and beverages will be on hand at tournament central, but be prepared with adequate fluids/snacks at your station as you may not be close.
All volunteers should wear closed toe comfortable shoes as there is a lot of standing/walking at these events.
All spotting materials, red/greed paddles, flags, rules for the hole, etc. will be provided.
Some great tips on spotting can be found here...
