Good morning. We wanted to send out some info in regards to the event on Sunday.
Thanks for signing up to play Keep Throwing Forward WIFFS event with us on 1/15 at Cedar Grove. The event will be 2 rounds, and is a PDGA C tier and part of the fundraiser series in Indiana.
Our fundraiser this year will again go to the North Dearborn Pantry. The monies collected will help others in our area, and we are very thankful for that. The AMs will receive a disc and a shirt, and the pros will receive just a shirt as the players pack.
For the day, we have a lot of fun planned. It will be a shotgun start at 930a. Check in will be inside the garage with Cheryl starting at 830a. We will play the BLUE layout first, have lunch, then throw the GREEN layout second round. These are the 2 extremes here at Cedar Grove. The Blue layout is very technical and challenging. I would expect a 1000 rated round to be around -2 to Even. The Green layouts is a lot of ace runs and birdie opportunities. I would expect a 1000 rated round to be around -18 to -20. The course has 25 holes.
We will provide lunch during the break. It will be simple with it being a Turkey or Ham sandwich, chips, cookies, and drinks. Any “tips” collected or donated for the lunch will go to the fundraiser. That is optional.
There is an ACE fund and per WIFFS guidelines, if not hit it gets donated to the charity. and there will be a few CTP's. For lunch we will have the options of chili or sandwiches, with chips, and drinks.
Since we are in the off-season for Cedar Grove, we’ve been doing a little coursework and adjusting the course. Holes 4 and 5 are very raw. We had an event on 1/1, and they’ve been adjusted some since then. We’ve tried to go over the course to make sure everything is accurate, but it’s possible to see a number on an arrow or basket that’s incorrect as we had to renumber holes. We apologize in advance and appreciate your understanding in this transition.
All hole and course particulars will be in PDGA live. Please feel free to use the tee signs for reference, but PDGA live is what we will go by, which might be slightly different than what is on the signs.
Again, we are excited to see you all on Sunday. Have a great weekend, and we will see you ready to take down Cedar Grove.
Thanks,
Josh and Cheryl
