A few course notes for the Capital City Classic. We are making a few changes to Cato to increase safety as well as make it a little more challenging. Hole 2 will only have 1 mando (left).
On Hole 3, there will be a Mando Left on the V tree half way down the fairway to protect Hole 14. For those playing Pool A, there will be another Mando Left off of the Tee as shown in the picture below as well as in Chases video playing it. Hole 6 will feature the world’s largest islands to help protect Hole 7s Tee. For Pool A, Hole 11 will use Hole 8s Long Tee (the opposite direction) and will be a 683’ Par 4. Hole 14 will feature a double mando to protect 15s Tee. Hole 17 we will NOT be using the current tees, instead we will be teeing off from the path on the left side of there’s fairway across from the old tees to help improve safety from 18. Lastly, all pools will tee from the shorts on Hole 18 and the hole will feature OB right of tree line (about 10ish feet off of the Trees right) and Long to help protect 16/17. The OB will also come into play on 16 and 17 as well. I am in there process of creating the caddy book with visuals but i thought id share for anyone wanting to practice! I plan on painting the OBs on Tuesday when we finally get a break from rain. Let me know if you have any other questions.
