Welcome to the 2024 Capital City Challenge. This will serve as your players meeting.

We are playing 2 rounds of 21 today with a break for lunch in-between.

MA3 and MA4 are playing the short pads on 5, 6, B, 12, 13 and 14. Short pads are marked by flags on their corresponding holes. Notes are also on the PDGA Digital Scorecard as well.

MA1, 2 and MA40 will be playing from the long pads for each hole.

This is a sanctioned event, so every player has to keep score on their own card.
I would highly recommend downloading the PDGA app to use for live scoring and have quick access to rules should it be needed. As of now we are planning on Live Scoring, but due to the solar flares occurring we could be forced to use paper.

Again every player has to keep their own score card, then 1 card is designated as the MASTER card. If this is not done and all cards turned in by all players on your card, the scores will not be accepted.

OBs are in play as listed below. Please note they were not painted, so this should be a group consensus, if the group cannot decide, the ruling should go in favor of the player. If for whatever reason you still are unsure, play a provisional ( must be announced before you play your provisional shot) mark both scores and bring it to me for a final ruling.

OB List:

1 - OB Race Track (inside wood walls).
2 - No OB, water is treated as casual.
3 - Creek long of pin if surrounded by water or over creek.
4 - River on right, if surrounded by water or over.
5 - Pond if surrounded by water.
6 - Pond if surrounded by water.
7 - In river on right or over (surrounded by water).
A - In river on right or over (surrounded by water).
B - None.
C - In Creek long of basket or over (surrounded by water).
9 - In pond (surrounded by water).
10 - None.
11 - Concrete under pavilion (surrounded by cement)
12 - Pond on left (surrounded by water).
13 - None.
14 - None.
15 - Road (on or over) beyond basket.
16 - Road on right (on or over).
17 - Road on left (on or over).
18 - Road/Parking Lot beyond basket (on or over).

OBs are listed on the PDGA Digital score card.

If you have a ruling you are unsure of, consult the app, the group should make their decision. If you cannot decide, favor should go to the player in question the ruling is regarding. If for whatever reason this cannot be reasonably done, then a Provisional should be taken and must be announced before thrown. Finish the hole out playing both shots and making a separate note for the provisional and the score played out as is (that means you have 2 separate scores for this specific hole). Bring the ruling to me at the end of the round (before you turn in the master card and I will then make a final ruling.

CTPs will be out for round 2! (This includes all divisions and the 50/50 along with the Ace Pool CTP should it not be hit during either round).
