The seeding for the 12-team 2022 Can Am Cup tournament was completed using the final rosters submitted on 8/7/22 and PDGA player ratings as of 8/9/22. Seeding is posted in Pictures tab.

Two teams properly and fully registered in the tournament have had roster drops due to COVID since registration closed on Sunday, August 7. If you or one of your teammates is sick or tests positive for COVID, please do not come to Brown’s Farm. CDC guidelines require two negative COVID tests after quarantine.

We continue to work with team captains to field fully-rostered teams. Some teams are now searching for replacement players and have until noon on Thursday, August 11 to submit those replacements as Sub1 or Sub2 to be reviewed for eligibility before the tournament begins. Any other team can submit up to two substitute players to their roster by the same Thursday noon deadline.

Our policy is that replacing someone for an injury or illness or any reason that is not in anyone's control should not be punished. If a player is dropped from the roster after the Thursday deadline, a substitute that is reported by the captain to the tournament director and confirmed to be eligible by 8:00 a.m. Saturday should be able to play without penalty to their matches or to their team.

Teams properly registered in the tournament have had roster changes since registration closed on Sunday August 7. Some teams are now searching for replacement players and have until noon Thursday, August 11 to submit those to be reviewed for eligibility. We are getting close to having a 12th team for the tournament, so we are moving the registration deadline back to Sunday August 7 at 7 pm.

Captains that want to add a substitute player or switch what roster positions their teammates are playing have until 7 pm Sunday, August 7 to do so.

Remember: each team is to bring a spirit award prize for the tournament.

The registration window for returning teams opens Friday, April 22 at 6 pm.
Returning teams have three weeks to register their entire team. Registration for new teams will open May 13 at 8:01 pm. Contact JG for early registration password.

Please instruct your team members to sign up using the same team name during the early registration window (April 22-May 13). You can register up to 2 substitutes for your team at no cost. Subs must be on a roster to be able to compete.

We filled the 12-team field the past three years, and will expand to 16 teams IF we have 4 complete roster teams on the wait list before registration closes July 31. Last year we had some teams NOT get in before it filled because they didn’t get their ENTIRE ROSTER registered.
Please let us know if you are certain that your team will not return, or if you are no longer captain of a team. If your team intends to return with a different captain, please send us that person’s email address and phone number.

We are considering a player pack item this year for all players. The tournament will provide a rolling lunch for players on Saturday, but NOT a dinner on Saturday NOR lunch on Sunday. Please plan your food accordingly. The South Dayton Hotel (also known as Zollingers Restaurant) should be open for business on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is only 2.5 miles from the course.

Primitive camping on site is included in the entry fee, and sites are first come first served. All trash that you generate MUST be taken home with you. There will be NO dumpster for trash; burn what is burnable, recycle, reuse.

Early registration for returning teams will open 6 pm on April 22, 2022 and details are at the event page on dgscene.com/CanAmCup2022. Team registration fee is again $360 or $60/player.
