Good day to all!
Thank you all for coming out for the inaugural Camp Hendon Doubles Classic, a charity disc golf tournament to support youth with diabetes and the life-changing experiences and empowerment they receive at Camp Hendon.
Being a youth with diabetes is difficult for a myriad of reasons. Diabetes is considered to be one of the most psychologically and behaviorally demanding chronic illnesses facing adolescents. With no cure for diabetes on the immediate horizon, self-management has become the cornerstone of diabetes treatment.
Youth diabetes requires demanding self-management. Camp Hendon addresses this by providing a supportive camp experience where children learn essential skills, build community, and form lasting friendships with peers facing similar challenges. Skilled staff ensure a safe, integrated learning environment for effective diabetes management.
I would like to take a moment to thank the folks that are sponsoring our event. The Post Pizzeria, Toasty’s Tavern, Four Pegs Smokehouse and Bar, Sarino Fresh Pasta & Neapolitan Pizza, Metro Promotional Services, Bang-A-Chain, and Title Agency Support. Please enjoy one of these fine establishments during lunch.
Thanks to our disc golf community for making sure our raffle and prizes are amazing. Prodigy, MVP, Discraft, Dynamic Discs, Innova Champion Disc and Zuca.
As for the event.
George Rogers Clark Park: 1024 Thruston Ave, Louisville, KY 40217
I will be communicating on tournament day via Facebook Event and Disc Golf Scene.
