Good afternoon Dayton Disc Golfers and WBO x CFP x BYOP registered players!
As painful as this news was to hear, (after 10pm on Wednesday 8/3) it's even more painful to have to share. Saturday's Bring Your Own Partner event has been CANCELLED.
Unfortunately due to an error on our part; Dayton Disc Golf improperly secured the correct permit on the correct date to host the WBO x CFP x BYOP Fundraising event this Saturday August 6th. A mix up in dates led to a calendar conflict at the park whereas Greene County Parks & Trails is hosting an outdoor concert this Saturday; which renders portions of the park un-playable. Additionally, the planned Tournament Director also has a pending childbirth & would not have been able to be present either; and lastly the pending weather forecast is calling for rain. The combination of all the above information means we WILL BE REFINDING all registered players as soon as possible; and will attempt to recoup all fees paid to either PayPal or DiscGolfScene so those refunds come in full.
We appreciate your understanding throughout this - we are just as heartbroken as well since we do relying on the funding generating from this event to operate the fall Wright Brothers Open B-Tier This is the first time in over 4 years something like this has occurred; we feel as if we've let you down; and for that we are deeply sorry.
