Hi everyone,
We are SO excited to see you this weekend for the inaugural Queens of the Chains tournament benefiting the CDGC Women's Committee! Whether this is your first disc golf tournament or your fiftieth, we are thrilled to have you on the course with us. Every dollar raised goes directly back into growing women's disc golf in the Charleston area — funding the tournaments, leagues, and outreach events that make space for more women and girls on the course. So when you tee off on Saturday, know that you're part of building something bigger.
Please read through this information and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

4:30 PM (Approximately) — After Party at MOMO Crowfield (300 Hamlet Cir, Goose Creek, SC 29445). Join us for awards, raffle drawing, and celebration! Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in ALL divisions. Appetizers will be provided!
???? Scoring — Download the PDGA Live App
Scores will be kept digitally using the PDGA Live app — and yes, everyone must keep score. Please download it on your phone before Saturday! It's free and available on both iOS and Android. We'll share more details about logging in and finding your card in a follow-up email later this week. We will have paper scorecards available for anyone who is unable to keep score via the app.
???? Caddy Book
A caddy book for each layout and photos of each hole layout can be found in the "Pictures" section on Disc Golf Scene. We encourage you to review your caddy book and photos ahead of time so you can get familiar with the holes — especially if this is your first time playing Naval Weapons Station! We will be playing Holes 1 - 17A, skipping Holes 17B and 18, for a total of 19 holes.
Divisions FA3 & FA4 will play the Red Tees. All other divisions will play the normal White Tees.
Please note: All divisions will play a shortened Hole 14. It plays from the tree cove where the Alt 14 Basket pin sits to the normal 14 Basket. If you have any questions, please ask!
CTP Holes — Closest to the Pin Prizes
Each round will have CTPs for each division. Everyone is eligible to participate at no cost thanks to our generous sponsors. At the end of each round, if you finish on one of the holes below, please designate someone on your card to return the CTP flag and baggie with its contents to Tournament Central. Additionally, if your card is the ONLY card with your division represented, you can bring the flag with you after you complete the hole.
Division — Round 1 Hole, Round 2 Hole
FP65/FA1 — 17A, 1
FA50/FA2 — 10, 2
FA40 — 15, 3
FA3 — 13, 4
FA4 — 14, 5
First-timers, here's how it works: On the designated hole for your division, after your tee shot, the player in your division whose disc lands closest to the pin (basket) will add their name to the paper in the baggie and mark their lie by placing the flag in the ground at the point of the disc closest to the basket. Any player in your same division whose drive gets closer to the basket than the previously placed flag will mark off the name of the previous person who got closest to the pin and add their own. Then they will mark their disc's lie. After everyone in your division has had their drive, the player with the drive closest to the pin wins the CTP prize. That's it — one throw, one chance to win each round!
????️ Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets are still available for purchase through Disc Golf Scene until Thursday, May 14th at 8:00 PM. After that, they will be available for purchase at the Player Pack Pick Up Party at the Whale and at Tournament Central the day of the event, as well as at the After Party at MOMO Crowfield. Don't miss your chance to win some great prizes!
☀️ What to Bring
• Your Disc Golf Bag or Cart (of course!)
• Your own lunch or a plan to quickly grab a bite so you don't miss the start of Round 2
• Sunscreen — it can get sunny out there!
• Bug spray — the mosquitos can be fierce this time of year
• Water to stay hydrated — but we'll have extra water and snacks on the course just in case you need them!
???? First-Time Tournament Players
If this is your first PDGA-sanctioned tournament, welcome — we are so glad you're here! A few basics to know:
• Each group (called a "card") will have 3–4 players. Each player is required to keep score for the entire card. After each card completes a hole, proceed to the next tee pad before entering your scores in the app. This will keep you safe from incoming drives from the card behind you and help with the pace of play!
• If you're unsure about how something works, it's ok! Talk to your card. If you need additional help beyond that, you can ask one of the volunteer spotters on the course OR call Jennifer or Rob (phone numbers below) and we will be glad to help you.
• Have fun and cheer each other on. This is a welcoming, supportive event and we want everyone to feel that from the first drive to the last putt.
Reminder for all players: All PDGA rules are in effect. As per PDGA rules, smoking, vaping, and drinking alcoholic beverages are prohibited during play.
