Jun 275:00am - 5:50am
Check-in at your starting course and pick up your player pack! Teams MUST checkin before playing ANY holes.
5:35am - 6:00am
Once you have checked in, you may begin play on whichever hole on your starting course that you want to. Teams should plan to be checked in and start throwing no later than 6 to help ensure you finish in the daylight.
3:00pm at Swingin' D.B.'s
Someone from event staff will plan to arrive at Swingin DBs around 3 PM. If your team is on track to arrive at Swingin DBs prior to this, please let us know so we can have someone there sooner and alert the course staff.
8:45pm - 10:00pm at Swingin' D.B.'s
Awards ceremony and event wrap up party at Swingin DBs. Time is approximate and depends on how quickly everyone finishes.

About this tournament
Are you up for the challenge of playing 145 holes on EIGHT different North Carolina disc golf courses in one day?
If so, then join us for the 28th Annual Great Eight Disc Golf Event.
This is a BRING YOUR OWN PARTNER event.
We play Best Shot doubles. So find a brave partner (same division), make sure your car has a full tank of gas, and come join the adventure.
Date/Time: 3 pools will start at Diavolo, Cedar Hills, & UNC DGCs at sunrise (~5:30am) and the journey ends at Swinging DBs private course on Saturday, June 27th, 2026!

Participants must register prior to May 20th if they wish to guarantee shirt size.
Because the event starts at sunrise, all participants MUST pre-register to participate.
Each player must also sign a liability waiver during the registration process.

All 27 prior years of the event, most participants have completed all 8 courses.
You play as a team and encourage each other to finish. You play fast, you play smart, and you don’t stop. You eat in the car as you travel between courses.
It’s the most challenging disc golf tournament in North Carolina and beyond!
Please note: Divisions without any registrants after one week of open registration will be removed. Players who make it into the event after May 20th cannot be guaranteed a shirt size.
