THANK YOU to all who came out for the tourney!!! A huge THANK YOU to Chuck, Kevin and all the Crew at Buxton Woods. To Big Dog, as always my right hand man. Miss Amanda for doing the scores and crunching the numbers. (You save me so much work, Missy) Mrs Buxton Woods, Cindy for the amazing lunch.Big props and Thanks to Lee Hartman, Matt Kasey, and an anonymous un-named person for your generous and kind prize donations. Mostley, a great big THANK YOU to each and every player who came out. Buxton Woods appreciates your support and that goes double for me!!! The several goups of players from out of the area ( Lee, Carl, Erik, Kyle, Tim, Miss Jaimee Sauviageau all from down South..Aumsville was mention by Lee.) DGOD was repped famously by Matty O. and my Dubs partner Dusty Adkins. Whether you drove 70 miles or 1.7 miles, I appreciate you making the trip to play The Bull of the Woods.

Its now the 23rd of March. Time to crown our first Bull of the Woods Champions!! Buxton Woods presents its 1st Annual Bull of the Woods Random Doubles Tourney. I've heard alot of grumbling about Random Dubs instead of BYOP. There are tons of BYOP tourneys!! If you got game, you should be able to draw a partner with little or no experience and still win. Its that inexperienced player who earns cash or a trophy for the very first time that will never forget having a great disc golfer for a partner and winning. This tourney is to show our locals and new golfers that it is possible to win a tourney just by luck of the draw. If you are a player who remembers the first time you won a tourney or even placed, imagine being the partner of someone new to disc golf and being the team member who showed them how awesome it is to hear thier name and walk up to get a tropy or prize money. I challenge any and all local area players to come and be that Team. What is it that the WWE's "The Rock" says.....oh yah..JUST BRING IT!!!

Today we played and marked out the mandos for the tourney. Its long, its tough and its fun!! There are only 6 holes that require use of mando ribbon. The rest of the course plays pretty straight forward. We have collectively agreed to play a par 72 for 18 holes. It sounds like alot...because it is alot!! It will be a great time and the weather is looking perfect. Sunny and upper 60's. Trophies and cash for the winning Doubles team with pay-outs to as many places as we can. The more players, the better the chance of winning some cash. Remember that $3 of each entry pays for the Day Use Fee at Buxton Woods. The remaining $17 will all be paid back as prize money!! There will be a lunch of Chicken Fettuccine and Garlic Bread for a small donation to cover food expense and to show our appreciation to the Cook. Its almost time to see if you have what it takes to be half of the team with the bragging rights to be called The Bull of the Woods.

If you are wanting to register for The Bull Of The Woods Random Draw Doubles Tourney, please shout out and I'll sign you up!! No pre-pay...Pay the day of the event!! We are having BBQ burgers/hot dogs for lunch, so a pre-registration helps us know how much food to prepare. We will be asking for but NOT requiring donations to the Cook Staff to offset the cost of food. Everybody eats no matter what!! This will be a big event for Buxton Woods and we are looking forward to having a great crowd of players!!
