Burchfield Open: Rivers Edge is all dried out and looking better than ever! Bring your bug spray and consider wearing long pants. You may be warm, but it will make the bugs and long grass a little less of an issue. Save yourself the $5 and reg early. Remember, there is a $5 day off registration fee. If you want to pay me in person, I'll be at the course tomorrow afternoon roping OBs. See you all this weekend! Payouts include... PRODIGY, INNOVA and DISCRAFT!!!!! 12 State Berths on the weekend... PDGA B-tier!!!

Is the park doing anything about the mosquitos out there on river's edge before this tourney? Played yesterday and the mosquitos were terrible. Didn't know if the park does anything or can do anything about this... Even after reapplying over and over couldn't stand for 2 seconds to even concentrate on a throw. Def wouldn't want to play a tourney round in that... hopefully in two weeks every skeeter will be dead :-)
they do try to kill them off with larvicide, but this has been a pretty bad year in general. Once the skeeters go down something happens to bring them back. Tough for the park to keep up, but they are continuously working on it. .
I figured they'd be on it. They seem to be on top of things there. Wonder if they were going to bomb it right before the tourney. Either way, it is what it is. I guess you can't really complain when you even have a venue like Burchfield. Thanks Matt!

what divisions are getting births?
As long as the fields are big enough Open, Am1, 2 and 3. Other divisions may be added if the fields are large enough.
