Michael - I think you sent my payout to wrong PayPal address. You can cancel and just add to fundraising pot. Thanks for running smooth, fun event.

I sent it to [email redacted], please let me know what your PayPal address is so I can get it to you. We appreciate the gesture!

Jeff Yahn   February 8, 2021 at 12:53pm

It's [email redacted] - but please just apply to fundraiser pot.

Umbrella was found, let me know if it's yours

Winners of the raffle were Drew Hoffman with the Disc Box and then Jeff Yahn with the Leopard3!

Jason Clark over at Disc-Box has been kind enough to give us one of his boxes to raffle off tomorrow! If you're unfamiliar with them, go look at disc-box.com. We'll also have a one of a kind club stamped swirly champ glow Leopard3 to raffle off. Raffle tickets are $2 each, $5 for 3, $10 for 6, etc. We'll draw two names after the 2pm card tees off. First name drawn gets the Disc-Box and second name gets the Leopard3.

Cash only? Or is venmo good too?

Michael Jordt   February 5, 2021 at 3:15am

Either one works!

Evan Kirk    February 2, 2021 at 8:37pm

If the water is high still, 9 is a terrible hole. There is absolutely zero line from the layup spot in front of the water at the end of the gap. Any word on a temporary hole yet?

I'll talk to Ken Olson about what he plans to do for the Buckhorn tournament over the weekend. Almost certainly plan on playing the hole to the new basket

Evan Kirk   February 3, 2021 at 6:14pm

Thanks. If it rains all day like it's supposed to, the water will be 20-30 feet inside of where the flags were for the CADL quarterly last weekend. It makes it so the layup zone is extremely small and just 140 feet from the tee. It's just not a good hole, lol

Hey Michael I will have to withdraw. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey Michael, I have to withdrawal. Please keep my entry fee as a donation! Sorry I had to bail but work calls! Good luck to you guys this year!

Michael Jordt   January 29, 2021 at 1:50pm

Hey Jasen, we really appreciate the donation! I feel bad you can't play but I'll see you around pretty soon!

Justin Boehm    January 28, 2021 at 7:19pm

I registered before I made an account stupidly. Is there a way to add my account to my register or do I need to request a refund and then sign up again?

A disc golf scene account or PDGA membership? The disc golf scene account won't give you a discount, but if you sign up for the Pdga I can give you $10 back

Chris ward    January 19, 2021 at 12:31am

Had a pretty horrible experience on 17 over the weekend. Laid up to the lake from the white tee. Second shot would have been over lake but bad release and disc went into water. Proceeded to drop zone which we played as the box just in front of the lake. Messed up AGAIN and tossed another disc into the water. This got me and my buddy thinking about the drop zone rules for the tourney: can you share what drop zones will be for 9, 10, 11 and 17?

Michael Jordt   January 19, 2021 at 12:59am

That sounds like an awful experience. I'll get back to you about that soon once I find out the official rules that the Buckhorn Open will use

Evan Kirk   January 21, 2021 at 3:44pm

In the past, drop zone on 17 is the pad to the right, right next to the water.

Dane Johnson   February 2, 2021 at 12:51am

In the CADL quarterly yesterday they played no drop zone on 9, just take it from where you crossed OB. On 10 and 11 the drop zone for the blue pad was the white pad or re-tee. 17 was the small pad at the edge of the pond.

Chris ward    January 16, 2021 at 10:12pm

Are all the pins currently in the same place they’ll be in for the next tourney? Was gonna get some practice in this weekend but curious when pin placement will be finalized

Michael Jordt   January 16, 2021 at 11:27pm

A few days ago, Jay Pontier made an announcement that the pins on 9 and 11 will be moved farther inland because of the water. Hole 15 will be moved back and to the left to slow down erosion on that hill.

Adam Eskierka    January 16, 2021 at 3:29pm

Is there any way to adjust our tee times once we are registered?

Michael Jordt   January 16, 2021 at 3:58pm

Yeah I can change that for you. What time would you like?

Adam Eskierka   January 26, 2021 at 5:41am

Sorry for the late reply... Could you add me to the 9:36 slot? Thanks.

Michael Jordt   January 28, 2021 at 2:44am

Done

Adrian Phillips    January 12, 2021 at 2:35am

Everyone plays shorts? Or will it be all-star for those divisions playing all-star over the weekend?

Michael Jordt   January 12, 2021 at 3:43am

Hi Adrian, the only thing I could find about the layout for the Buckhorn Am is in the comments section of that event on Disc Golf Scene. Ken said one round of longs and one round of shorts. If you saw something different, please let me know and we can potentially make changes to the layout. Thanks!

Michael Jordt    January 11, 2021 at 10:23pm

The Disc Golf Club at NC State appreciates all of our supporters! Our club is comprised of about 25 members, and about 12-16 members who will travel to our tournaments with us. Fundraising is important to us because we do our best to send each member to collegiate events at little cost to them. Members pay annual dues and then gas and food while they're on the road. Our club does our best to cover lodging and entry fees, which come out to be about $70 per person per tournament ($30-40 entry ... more

Does this mean that the course will be closed to the publi****il around 230? Mainly asking in case I'm not able to sign up for the warm-up but still want to come out later that day to play

Michael Jordt   January 11, 2021 at 10:12pm

You should be able to jump in between groups playing the flex start. We have the tee times spanned throughout the day but don't expect them to fill up. We don't want to take away from anybody's practice rounds.
