The temp course is fun Kevin. Wish we could put in baskets for real.
Looking forward to the tournament!

KC, That's some tasty plastic you've got listed there. Can't wait to get one!

KZ, I understand your safety concerns. Don't worry though, Mark has promised to protect all of us from any stray discs. He's got cat like reflexes. :-)

The main thing about the flow on the course is that in addition to the permanent 9 holes of Fairmont, we will play a temporary 9 holes designed just for this tournament. The layout and location of those 9 holes depends on the City/County plans to begin working on Soccer Fields in the area. So... the exact layout will not be determined until April 8th.

One of the alternate layouts will involve using an alternate temporary T for hole #2. So we may or may not use the normal #2 T.

I just registered!!.... really looking forward to this although I don't really play Fairmont very much. Thanks Kevin for putting this together for everyone. What mold are the discs for the players pack?
I had a few questions about the issues with flow on the course. Will there be any marked mandos or anything to consider if I head out ahead of time to practice the course? For example, #5's teepad is right in the hyzer route for #4's basket.

Let me add the following from the PDGA:
ADVANCED--the top amateur division. Tournament experienced players who have played disc golf for several years, and developed consistency. Throw 300-450 feet, make 5-7 out of 10 puttss from 25-30 feet, have different shots in their arsenal. Score range under 58 for 18 holes.

Archie, if you are shooting a 58 at fairmont for 18 holes, looks like you should play in at least Intermediate, unless you only have time to play the first 18.

Recreational or Intermediate?

As far as this tournament goes, the first question to ask yourself, is--do you want to play 18 holes or 36 holes?

RECREATIONAL players will play one round of 18 holes in the morning, then receive their prizes after lunch.

INTERMEDIATE players will return after lunch, regroup according to score, and play a second round of 18 holes.

The Professional Disc Golf Association suggests the following guidelines for determining which division you belong in:

Archie, We're excited to have you at the tournament! We'll have divisions for more advanced players, but we really wanted to target people who will be playing their first tournament.
