An unsanctioned BYOP doubles two round tournament. A portion of each team's entry fee will be donated to the Boulder Woods Country Club. Please pick the division that seems most appropriate for your team, the event is meant to be as fun as possible.
Gold/Mixed Payout - PayPal
Silver/Bronze Payout - Vouchers for merch through onsite vendor.
There will be 2 CTP's for each division.
1st Round:
Format: Best/Favorite Shot
Best Shot is by far the most popular doubles format. Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), then the team chooses which of the resulting lies to continue play from, until the hole is completed. Teammates do not have to throw from the same lie.
Lunch:
Bring your own lunch.
2nd Round:
Format: Best/Favorite Shot
CTP & Ring of Fire Challenges
Included at no extra cost for all divisions, we'll have 2 contests for cash (paypal). You don't have to participate in these, but they're already included, so you might as well take a shot at the cash!
For the CTP challenge, anyone who wants to participate will take 5 throws at a designated basket. Closest to the basket for each division will win. Each division will have their own competition, so you'll only be competing against players in your division for these challenges.
The Ring of Fire will be done as one whole group, with only one winner taking home the prize. If you haven't done a Ring of Fire before, it's almost the pinnacle of disc golf chaos. Everyone participating creates one large circle around a basket and attempts to make the putt at the same time. If you miss, you're out. If you make the putt, you go on to the next round and this goes on until only 1 person is left. This event will be done after the awards, while the CTP can be done as soon as cards start coming in.
100% of entry fees (besides the designated donation amount) will be used towards payouts and tournament related items (city permits, CTP items, additional games, etc).
Ace Pot is the World of Doubles Ace Pot, which rolls over from the previous tournament if no aces are hit.
