Hello Players,
Welcome to Birdie Presents: The Turducken, a 2 round PDGA C-tier at Bellevue State Park!
As always, thanks to Bob Brokus and crew, who keep the course looking great all year.
IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL PLAYERS CHECK-IN WITH ME NEAR HOLE #1 FROM 8:20–9:00 AM. If you are running late, please send me a text at 610-428-3370. If you fail to check-in or send me a message, you will lose your spot and not be included in the hole assignments.
All ams will receive their player pack at check-in, choice of a $20 item(disc or apparel).
There will be a player meeting at approximately 9:05. Official starting holes will be finalized after check-in ends, at the beginning of the player meeting. If you do not attend the player meeting, be sure to double check your hole assignment at 9:15 in case of any late changes. Your starting hole will be listed at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/86175
The first round will start at 9:30am. Minimum 45 minutes after the last card is in for lunch. Second round tee time and hole assignments will also be listed on the PDGA site approximately 20 minutes after the last card is finished.
Layout
The layout and course notes are attached to this email, posted in the pictures section on disgolfscene, and are also available through the live scoring.
All divisions will play the short layout in the 1st round. Some holes have short tees, and some have short baskets.
Pro/MA1/MA2 will play the long layout in the 2nd round, all other divisions will play the shorts again.
Payouts and Prizes
Ams will be paid in vouchers which must be used in-person Sunday at the tournament. Pros will be paid via Paypal. The ace pot is currently at $126 and will be paid out via PayPal if hit.
CTPs
There will be all day CTPs for the amateurs. I'll have the holes and divisions listed at check-in. The prize will be a $20 voucher.
Scoring
We will be using live scoring on pdga.com/score. Enter the code “birdie” Please remember to make your scores official at the completion of your round.
There's a new PDGA rule this year that every player must keep a scorecord for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep score may be subject to disqualification. If you do not wish to use your phone, I will have paper scorecards available at check-in. Please circle your name on the scorecard so I know who's card it is. After the round place your scorecard in the container at tourney central if I am not there. The PDGA live scoring is the official scorecard. It is up to you to make sure your paper card matches it. If not, you will be penalized(PDGA 808)
