Hello Players,
Welcome to Birdie Presents: The Basket Case at Broken Chains, a 2 round PDGA C-tier!
IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL PLAYERS CHECK-IN WITH ME FROM 8:20–9:00 AM. Check-in will be at the back entrance of the church(the hallway leading to the bathrooms). If you are running late, please send me a text at 610-428-3370. If you fail to check-in or send me a message, you will lose your spot and not be included on the hole assignments.
All ams will receive their player packs at check-in, choice of a $20 item(disc or apparel).
There will be an optional player meeting at approximately 9:05. Starting holes will be posted after check-in ends, at the beginning of the meeting.
The first round will start at 9:30am. Your tentative starting hole will be listed at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/78990 by 9:05am. Second round tee time and hole assignments will also be listed here approximately 20 minutes after the last card is finished. Minimum 45 minutes after the last card is in for lunch.
Special thank you to Christian Life Center, Duffy, Troy, and the whole crew who keep the course looking great! $2 from each entry fee will be donated to the course fund. Thanks to everyone who made an additional donation!
Layout
The layouts are attached to this email, posted in discgolfscene, and on the live scoring.
Pro/MA1 – blue baskets, except yellow on #2,5,11, & 15.
Ams except MA1 – blue baskets, except yellow on #2 & 15.
All water not designated as OB is casual. You may move back on the line of play without penalty to get relief or play it as it lies. I flagged the ends of the pond on #18. If you are surrounded by water within the flag line, you are OB. Outside the flag line is casual. This may come in to play on holes 13, 14, & 18.
The playoff loop will be 1, 18, 1, 18...
Payouts and Prizes
Ams will be paid in vouchers which must be used in-person Saturday at the tournament. Pros will be paid via Paypal. The ace pot is currently at $68 and will paid out via PayPal if hit.
Scoring
We will be using live scoring on pdga.com/score. Enter the code “birdie” Please remember to make your scores official at the completion of your round.
There's a new PDGA rule this year that every player must keep a scorecord for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep score may be subject to disqualification. If you do not wish to use your phone, I will have paper scorecards available at check-in. Please circle your name on the scorecard so I know who's card it is. After the round place your scorecard in the container at tourney central if I am not there. The PDGA live scoring is the official scorecard. It is up to you to make sure your paper card matches it. If not, you will be penalized(PDGA 808)
See you tomorrow,
Tim Reyes, TD
