Hello Players,
Welcome to Birdie Presents: Canby Fall Classic, a 2 round PDGA C-tier!
IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL PLAYERS CHECK-IN WITH ME FROM 8:20–9:00 AM. If you are running late, please send me a text at 610-428-3370. If you fail to check-in or send me a message, you will lose your spot and not be included in the hole assignments.
All ams will receive their player pack at check-in, choice of a $20 item(disc or apparel).
There will be a player meeting at approximately 9:05. Official starting holes will be posted after check-in ends, at the beginning of the player meeting. Your starting hole will be listed at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/84707
The first round will start at 9:30am. Minimum 45 minutes after the last card is in for lunch. Second round tee time and hole assignments will also be listed on the PDGA site approximately 20 minutes after the last card is finished.
Special thank you to Johnny Garcia, David Rushman, Mike Watson, & everyone else who's been working on the course. $3 from each entry fee will be donated to the course fund. Thanks to everyone who made an additional donation!
Layout
All divisions will play a shorter mixed layout in the 1st round. For the 2nd round, Pro/MA1 will play a longer layout and all other divisions will play the same layout as the 1st round.
The details of both layouts are attached to this email, posted in discgolfscene pictures, and on the live scoring.
Payouts and Prizes
Ams will be paid in vouchers which must be used in-person Sunday at the tournament. Pros will be paid via Paypal. The ace pot is currently at $72 and will paid out via PayPal if hit.
CTPs
There will be a CTP throwoff ater the 2nd round for all ams. The prize will be a $20 voucher to be used on Sunday.
Scoring
We will be using live scoring on pdga.com/score. Enter the code “birdie” Please remember to make your scores official at the completion of your round.
There's a new PDGA rule this year that every player must keep a scorecord for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep score may be subject to disqualification. If you do not wish to use your phone, I will have paper scorecards available at check-in. Please circle your name on the scorecard so I know who's card it is. After the round place your scorecard in the container at tourney central if I am not there. The PDGA live scoring is the official scorecard. It is up to you to make sure your paper card matches it. If not, you will be penalized(PDGA 808)
Safe travels,
Tim Reyes, TD
