Please review the PDGA Covid-19 guidelines before the event

There will not be an in-person players meeting.

Check In: Let us know you are hear by telling the TD your name. If you must get closer than 6 feet to any tournament staff then you must wear a mask.
One person for each tee time group must take a paper scorecard and keep score the entire round on that scorecard. A different player must keep score on the PDGA.comscore access code Awesome

All amateur players get a tote with several items. All players receive a shirt.

Do not congregate around tournament central for any longer than necessary.

Bring plenty of water for yourself.

Don't touch anybody or their stuff, make sure the other players clear their disc out of the basket before you putt. Have a mask with you at all times just in case needed, wear a mask if unable to stay away from others (6 feet).

A tee time two round tournament playing 18 holes of Jordan Creek and 18 holes of South Mountain. Once you finish the first round you have about an hour break for lunch to get to the next course and eat. You will play with the same people both rounds.

When you finish each round hand in your scorecard and note the time you finished the round.
There is a real possibility that it may rain. The event only pauses if we have any lightning. Thunder does not stop the event. Keep playing through the rain. Be prepared for rain. If we get any lightning then all play stops for 30 minutes after the last lightning strike, this is the PDGA rule.
We will message within PDGA scoring.

Layout changes: At South Mountain we are not playing hole 9 for safety reasons. We are playing hole 5A which you play between holes 5 & 6; Also, we will play White tee on Hole 10 now instead.

Awards: Pro divisions will get paid out via paypal within 48 hours of the end of the event.
For all the amateur divisions winners will get mailed trophies. Smaller divisions only 1st place, larger divisions 1st to 3rd place.

The PDGA does not do tie breakers for tee time events but just for the sake of the trophies we will break ties using the scores starting from hole 1 Jordan and going forward like a standard playoff.
A missed putt on hole 1 could cost you a trophy!

The BS Bochantin Upshot store will be open all day at South Mountain for the event.
Store accepts paypal or venmo. Use hand sanitizer before touching anything.

No special rules in effect. No two-meter rule, no island rule, etc. All standard PDGA rules.

Once all cards have teed at Jordan, I will go live and do the drawing. In the event inclement weather impacts the drawing, I will do so on Sunday from my home and get prizes to players over the next few tournament weekends.

Awesome Open update: Jordan holes 7 & 8 will be used for the event. This means hole 15 will be playing to the par 5 position (ignore the shorter basket). Hole 6 will play from long tee pad to short basket. Hole 18 will play to the basket across the 2nd creek (ignore ace run basket straight ahead.
For hole 7 I have flagged off an area at the mud line with blue flags. This area between the water line and the flag line will be a RELIEF area, which is a no penalty area where you get to mark you lie to the nearest in bound spot outside that area. This area is extremely muddy and it looks like we will get some rain Friday night to make it very slippery. I have also flagged a drop zone area for those who go into the pond. All players will be playing from the long tee.

For both South Mountain and Jordan the last basket movements happened yesterday or will happen today.

Basket #2 is raised up high
Hole #6 to play long tee to short basket
Hole #18 to longest basket position ignoring the basket straight down the hill.
Holes #7 & #8 are unplayable. To replace these 2 holes we plan (with proper permission) to use old hole 5 from a shorter teeing area and old hole 15. This would put current #15 in the par 5 position. If we can't use old 5 because it throws across the road then we will split hole 15 into 2 holes. If we cant use old 5 we will split hole 6 into 2 holes.

For South Mountain White is the shorter tee pads and Red are the longer pads:
1 Red, 2 White, 3 Red, 4 White, 5 White, 6 White, 7 White, 8 Red, 9 White to long red basket position, 10 Red, 11 White, 12 Red, 13 Red, 14 Red, 15 White, 16 White, 17 to long red basket position, 18 White.
