2023 April Showers Players Meeting
Welcome to the 2023 April showers tournament presented by Great Lakes Disc.
Thank you To Shea and GLD for their continued support and for sponsoring another great event. Also Thank you to Burchfield Park for allowing us to host this event at such short notice as we work through another Michigan spring.
Grand Ledge Discs will be handling all payouts online after the event so there will not be an onsite store.
There will be an hour break between rounds. There will not be food on site and it is about 10-15 min to the nearest food so please plan accordingly.
We will be using PDGA scoring for this event. The log in information will be available at tournament central at check in along with paper scorecards and OB lists for those who want them. IMPORTANT! Both A&B pools are playing a mixed layout so please make sure that you are watching what hole you are playing. I would love to not have to stroke anyone for a misplayed hole.
Some important layout items. Hole 9 and 10 share an OB road between them so please make sure that your throw is clear and keep your heads up. Holes 11 and 15 run parallel. We will not be playing the OB line between them so if you do end up in another fairway use caution and be aware of other cards.
The OB paint is a little faded but still visible. On hole 8 the water has receded some since the OB was painted, the paint is still the defining line for OB. This has the potential for a disc to be dry and still OB.

After looking at the condition of the course and the forecast for the river the decision has been made to move this event to burchfield Park in holt. I will be updating the about page tonight and tomorrow as details are finalized. Since this is a pay to enter/play park please post a comment here if you have already purchased a annual pass to the park.

Update on Grand Woods conditions. After all the rain we got today Grand Woods is very flooded. We will be monitoring closely over the next week or so. If the conditions improve the tournament will go forward as planned. If the course is still unplayable going into the weekend we may have to look into moving venues. we are currently exploring either Burchfield or Fitzgerald as a backup.
