I will cover this at the player meeting, but just want everyone to be knowledgeable of procedures for suspension of play in case of inclement weather .
-The signal to suspend play shall be made in the same fashion as the signal to start, but using three short blasts.
-Make sure your lie is marked and left when the horn blast occurs.
-I recommend weighing down minis with a rock
-Take a picture to ensure placement is returned for the restart.
-The group will determine the proper lie for the restart of the round to ensure lie is returned to the pre-delay position.
-Delay may be called before weather hits to allow people time to find cover
-Suspension of play will last at least 30 minutes.
-I will communicate via live scoring, email, FB, and DGScene message board for updates.
-Practice throws while play is suspended is allowed, but your TD strongly discourages practicing while lightning is active. I will give you some time to re-warm up before play is restarted once threat is passed.
-End of suspended play will be just like the start of a round. 2 minute warning, followed by restart horn.
