Tune in tonight at 5 P.M. on KREX5 FOX4 Westernslopenow to catch an interview with Aaron Gossage, a local disc golf pro, talk about the Grand Valley Classic Disc Golf Tournament at Chipeta Golf Course yesterday and Watson Island Disc Golf Course today! 26 pros and 124 amateurs attended the event. An after party and awards ceremony will be at Edgewater Brewery tonight at 5 P.M. Anyone is welcome to come learn about disc golf, we will have baskets set up, a putting competition, and live music from Dj Squatch

If anyone else is having trouble finding a place to stay, I managed to find some BLM land up 18 road north of Fruita. Apparently there's a 1200 person bike race this same weekend... It's windy and full of mountain bikers up here, but it's free, available, and probably better than sleeping in your passenger seat in the Walmart parking lot.... If you come up, I'm the very first campsite on the left as you enter the lower campground. Don't go up to the upper campground; it's $20 up there and all the spots are taken anyway. Bring firewood.

Thank you all for signing up for the 2021 Grand Valley Classic presented in part by Alpine Bank, Dynamic Discs, Chipeta Golf Course, Watson Island Disc Golf Coalition, Triple Play Records, Down River DIsc Golf, and so many more.

For those of you who have submitted cards, thank you.

If you have NOT submitted a card yet, please do so as soon as possible. Respond to this email or message us on FB. Those without submitted cards will be grouped together randomly and a second list of names will be released tomorrow morning with groupings for the remaining players.

I apologize for not sending out an email along with the Facebook post we made about card submission.

Due to the number of players, each day we will have two separate shotgun starts. This list pertains to the 1st group playing in the morning at Chipeta and in the afternoon at Watson the following day. Again, a second list will be released tomorrow. You can still play with your chosen cardmates if you quickly submit a group!

The following players, on the provided list, have submitted their group cards and will be teeing off Saturday morning at Chipeta Golf Course, 222 29 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81503. Check in is from 7:30 to 8 A.M.! Tee Off is 8:30! (DON'T BE LATE!) ((For every hole you miss you take an automatic 7))

The following players will then tee off in the afternoon at Watson Island DIsc Golf Course, 639 Struthers Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81501. Check in is 11 A.M. - 11:45 A.M. and Tee Off is at High Noon! (DON'T BE LATE!) ((For every hole you miss you take an automatic 7)) You will be assigned a hole at check-in on day 2, and possibly assigned a new group. The top two cards in the open division will play last on day 2, so more than likely your group won’t change unless you are playing with an Open Division player.

We have added more divisions after announcing the tournament. Please check your division and adjust as needed.

*If you are 40 years or older, consider moving to the MP40 Division. However you can play MPO.

If you are 50 years or older, consider moving to the MP50 Division. However you can play MPO or MP40.
