This memorandum is in lieu of the standard players meeting. All information contained herein is to be followed by all players playing in All Hallows 2020. Thank you for joining us for this event!
I want to begin by thanking all the people that have been instrumental in helping to get the course ready for play today and their time they dedicate to the course. These people in no particular order: Aaron Graeff, Rob Beckey, Steve Wolfinger and Paul Wolfinger, and Terry Quire. I would also like to give a huge thank you to Brian Bochantin for being our onsite vendor for this event. If you see them on course today, give them a thank you. Also thank you to all those who have come out to help on any course work day.
Here is how things will be run the day of:
GUIDELINES AND RULES FOR COVID-19:
With COVID-19 we are going to be handling this a little differently this year, but if we can all adhere to these important guidelines together set forth in this “players meeting” we can have a fun and successful event.
If you are feeling sick anytime between now and the day of the tournament please stay home and request a refund! Your health is important to you, and to other players.
PER NEW MANDATE EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY 7/1: EACH PLAYER IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A MASK AND MUST WEAR IT WHEN THEY CANNOT MAINTAIN 6FT FROM ANYONE. ANYONE WHO DOES NOT FOLLOW THIS MANDATE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARK, THEY WILL FORFEIT THEIR ROUND(S), AND THEY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED THEIR TOURNAMNT ENTRY.
Touch only your own discs.
Refrain from shaking hands, high fives, and other forms of contact.
If you can, bring a bottle of hand sanitizer to keep in your bag/cart.
Please bring your own water/snacks for two rounds. Please do not share water and snacks with other players. There will be water available, that you may take, WHEN YOU ARE PLAYING HOLE 1 (this is to avoid congregating).
When a putt is made clear your disc before the next person putts as there should not be two discs in any basket as anytime.
When you are on the tee box (on a par 3) please wait for the group ahead to hole out before teeing off. If you hole out and there is a group at the next tee, please wait at the basket area until they tee off to approach the tee box. This may slow things down a bit, but mitigation is important. Those on the tee waiting should wait for the basket area to be clear before throwing.
When you are on the tee box (on a par 4) please wait for the group ahead to be putting before teeing off. If you hole out and there is a group at the next tee, please wait until they tee off to approach the tee box. During upshots those on the fairway waiting to throw should wait for the basket area to be clear before throwing. This may slow things down a bit, but mitigation is important.
DAY OF SCHEDULE:
Cards will remain the same all day! You will be assigned the same hole to start at each round!
Sign In (8:00AM to 8:45AM): When you come under the pavilion please wear a mask and maintain 6ft. DO NOT CROWD the pavilion. Once you have signed proceed to your assigned hole if you are a MPO/FPO player. Do not congregate in the parking lot. AM players will be asked to head toward the vendor end of the pavilion (PLEASE SEE THE PLAYER PACK DISTRIBUTION/VENDOR USE section of this memorandum). You may practice putting at your assigned hole, but MUST adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines (ex. one person putt at a time and clear their discs from the basket).
Players Meeting (8:45AM): If you have any questions please refer to this memorandum. There will be no in person players meeting day of the event. If a question should arise please refer to the contact information at the bottom of this memorandum. This “players meeting” will also be posted on the Berks Disc Golf Club Facebook page (@berksdiscgolfclub) for reference.
Two Minutes! (approx 8:58AM): Listen for the yell. I will also blow a whistle twice. No more putting practice at this point.
Begin Round 1 (approx 9:00AM): Begin Round 1. Adhere to all PDGA rules and Covid-19 rules and guidelines.
Lunch (approx 12:00PM): Once you have completed your first you are on lunch! Please plan to be back at your assigned hole before the start of Round 2. Once the last card has submitted their scores via PDGA scoring app, I will post on the Facebook group (@berksdiscgolfclulb) the start time of Round 2, and also have it written on a whiteboard at the pavilion. Please avoid congregating during the lunch break.
Round 2(aprrox 1:00PM): Be at your assigned hole for the start of round two. I again will blow a whistle twice for two minutes, and once to begin play.
ACE POT
Ace pot was an optional buy in during registration. No physical money will handled day of. If you would like to participate in the ace pot and did not pay $2 during registration please email me and you will be added to the ace pot for the day. If no ace is hit during the tourney, a CTP will be held post round for half the ace pot.
DISTRIBUTION OF AM PLAYER PACKS AND VENDOR USE:
Anyone approaching the vendor MUST wear a mask, and MUST use the hand sanitizer station before approaching the vendor area.
All AM players will pick up their disc of choice (valued up to $20) from our onsite vendor at the pavilion. AM players will also take an All Hallows Zing Cosmo mini.
PLEASE DO NOT RUSH THE VENDOR. There should be no more that 4-6 persons at the vendor during player pack pickup. If the vendor area is crowded (4-5 persons) please wait for someone to leave. PLEASE MAINTAIN 6FT as much as possible. I also ask that you be brief with your time during player pack pickup as we have many players that must select a disc. Make sure to let the vendor know what disc you are taking.
Once an AM player has made their selection please proceed to your assigned hole before the start of Round 1.
The vendor will also be available between rounds and after the second round. AGAIN YOU MUST WEAR A MASK, SANITIZE YOUR HANDS and MAINTAIN 6FT!
The vendor accepts: CASH, PAYPAL, and VENMO for all items purchased outside of the AM player pack.
DIGITAL SCORE KEEPING:
The top player on the card is asked to keep score for the group for the entire round(s). If that person does not have a cell phone, the second player on the card is asked to keep score for the group for the entire round.
