Hello everyone and Merry Discmas!
Just a few days to go before Frosty's and we're looking forward to seeing everyone and how much food you donate! We're all sold out again with 110 people registered. Well, 112 because good news: FROSTY himself is going to play the tourney!
A few things:

CTPs and RAFFLE:
If you can, please bring a prize for someone to win. It does not have to be disc golf related.
I will be providing two SPROOOOOSE!!!!! toques and some gift cards
FOOD DONATION:
The person (not team) who donates the most food (in weight) will win a $50 gift card to Fionn MacCools!
Please bring a generous amount of food if you're able to. The food banks really need it...
BOOZE DONATION:
Optional booze donation. Bring two drinks (one for morning round, one for the afternoon)
ROUND 2 is MODIFIED ALTERNATE SHOT:
Since we are sold out again, we will stick with modified alternate shot for the second round.

I will put out flags for each division at the tee pads:

try creating a "custom round" of 20 holes (see details in the other email explaining how this will work)
Find the event under "EVENTS" and we may be able to use the formats that are in there.

SCHEDULE:
8:00 AM - 9:15 AM. SIGN- IN (the earlier the better)
Drop off your food donation in Frosty's truck. Please be generous!
DIFFERENT THIS YEAR: The person who donates the most food (in weight) gets a gift card to Fionn MacCool's!
If you're donating a CTP or Raffle, drop it off with myself or one of the volunteers
Sign in at the table
Give your CTP BOOZE donations (optional)
DONATE 1 DRINK FOR ROUND 1, DONATE 1 DRINK FOR ROUND 2
Get your pair of hand warmers
Get your 50/50 and Raffle tickets (There is an option to buy more 5050). Raffle tickets have to be paid for ahead of time. You can update your registration if you wish to purchase more.
DIFFERENT THIS YEAR: We will be using actual raffle tickets for the draw and you will be given your tickets at sign-in.
9:20 AM PLAYER'S MEETING
We will go over the day and any details such as:
Round 2 is MOST LIKELY modified alternate shot (Depends on weather)
CTPs are only round 1 (except for BOOZE)
bringing back CTPs at the end of the round
Layout announcement for PROs (nice weather = pregnant 3's, inclement weather = all reds)
Hole 4 (Both rounds = hanger for PROs, normal basket for AMs)
9:30 - 12:30 ROUND 1
Bring back the CTP flags (not Booze Round 2 ctp)
12:30 - 1:30 (approx) LUNCH
EVERYONE gets 1 samosa
Pizza lunch for those that paid
3 slices/person to start.
Collect raffle prizes.

1:30 - 3:30 (approx) ROUND 2

LAYOUT:
AM LAYOUT: ALL RED TEE PADS, both rounds.
PRO LAYOUT: "PREGNANT 3'S" unless:
Weather conditions favour all REDs
Pro layout to be confirmed at player's meeting.
EXTRA HOLES: 7A, 9A, and 9B
7A is between 7 and 8. Marksman basket is on tee pad of hole 8 RED.
Hole 8 is ORIGINAL SHORTS from the top of the hill. ISLAND HOLE
If both players fail to land in the island, throw from the drop zone.
If your disc is touching even one blade of IN BOUNDS grass, then it is in bounds
Hole 9a: PROs shoot to the further practice basket, AMs to the closer practice basket.
Hole 9b: tunnel shot to what is normally hole 9 basket. Look for flags. AMs play from shorts, PROs from longs. Watch for flags.
Pregnant 3's layout: 1R,2R,3W,4R,5R,6W,7R, 7a (n/a) 8 (original shorts), 9a (n/a), 9b (n/a) 10R, 11R, 12W, 13R, 14R, 15W, 16R, 17R, 18W, 19R, 20R
HOLE 4: (Both rounds = hanger for PROs, normal basket for AMs)
HOLE 10: TRIPLE MANDO
ROUND 1 is DOUBLES BEST DISC
ROUND 2 is MODIFIED ALTERNATE SHOT: every player takes a drive, but the next shot is thrown by the player whose shot was NOT used
UPDATE: since we are sold out, we will be for sure doing alternate shot.

SCORING
Use UDisc. You can find the Frosty's layout under "inactive" layouts. There is PRO and AM.
You can also create a custom round of 20 holes (for the extra holes just add those strokes onto the other holes)
For hole 7A, add those strokes onto hole 7
For 9a and 9b, add the strokes to the total for hole 9
Doing it this way in custom created round makes it easier to keep track of what hole you're on seeing that the extra holes will throw off the number..
There is an official UDisc event that was created by Wes and we may be able to use it.
IMPORTANT: After each round, come find me (Kieran) in my car to tell me your score. Please give me the number of strokes (not minus or plus par numbers)
All holes are par 3
SOME PAPER SCORE CARDS WILL BE AVAILABLE AS NEEDED
AMs will be MERCHED OUT with DISCY CHICKS
PROs will be CASHED OUT.
For both divisions, approximately top 60% of players will be awarded.
CTPs and RAFFLE PRIZES
if you wrote your name on a CTP, check to see if you won before leaving
Remember to bring an alcoholic drink if you wish to be part of the booze ctps

50/50 draw will be held shortly before Round 2 starts. You can purchase additional tickets if you like.
RAFFLE tickets are only available through purchase through registration

DIVISIONS
We are asking that if one person from a team has a PDGA rating of more than 920 that you move to pro.
Of course if you feel that this applies to you but still strongly believe that you should be in AMs, please let me know.
