Nathan, appreciate you feedback. The reason we did it this way this year is because, in previous years we had 100 players 5 player per hole and adding 2 extra temp holes and although that is a great turn out we had plenty left on the wait list and others giving feed back that they hate they couldn’t get in due to it being full as well as others mentioning that it caused a lot of back ups and on a smaller size course with back ups not just being a pace of play issue but also it can cause a safety risk as well with how many holes over lap. So we tried to accommodate as many as we can this year having assigned tee times gives the flexibility to allow more than 100 players to play in the event with out the concern of backups being an issue and safety risks being limited as well seemed like a win win all around. I hope that gives some clarity to the choice we made to change it from 2 shot gun starts to 2 rounds with assigned tee times.

I think by trying to accommodate the wait listers with a two day two round you severely limited the number of people available. I think many weekend warriors have a hard time carving out one day for availability let alone taking up a whole weekend (even though assigned tee times, you don’t know when that will be). I played in the previous years and the backups weren’t that bad. Maybe a middle ground is to let people pick their tee times for both days like a flex…much easier to coordinate availability that way from a player’s perspective if it’s over two days.
