Chad... thanks for the quick response & explanation of Fort Custer. I'm sure others will read the comments as well. I understand what you are saying. For the time being... I'll keep my fingers crossed for the positive. As I said in my last post...The F.C. 18 is looking very very good at this point & is challenging. Suggestions: maps and a couple of directional signs @ this point.

Ken--the future of the course is uncertain. As I said at the meeting, the DNR does not put the DG course as a high priority. The course has been forced to move/relocate/redesign annually. Seasonal changes to accomodate other user groups have caused confusion for first-time and returning golfers, vandalism to signs and tee pads has exhausted the club funds, reduced mowing, zero contributions from the park towards maintenance, signage or tee pads and an overwhelming workload on the volunters has ... more

I thought the "Last Stand" turn-out was respectable. The course was in great shape and looked professional. The weather was just just about perfect, with only slight rain for about a couple of minutes.
Was that a ploy or is the F.C. course actually going to be closed down? I heard basicly the opposite from the scoring tables.

The TD has left the office--headed to the Fort for the weekend (no internet on the cell). Plenty of room for day-of registration. Any urgent questions--269.967.5307. Otherwise, registration opens at 8am!

We will offer other divisions if needed. Juniors, Advanced Wmns, Grand Masters, etc..
