Hello all,
I want to thank everyone who came out to play the 4th Annual Bogeys & Beers Doubles Disc Golf Tournament at Twin Barns Brewing Co. in Meredith, NH! We had a wild start to the day with weather, but that did not scare the teams away. We only had 1 team, The Machines, signed up who couldn’t make it due to being called into work because of the weather. I have been in contact with them and instead of taking a refund on their buy-in, they opted to donate it to our SLAMT1D wiffleball tournament fundraiser to support children and families living with type 1 diabetes. Their $80 buy-in will go to that fundraiser and their CTP/Ace buy-ins stayed with the respective pots. Aside from that, the weather cleared and we had a GREAT day. I have posted results on Discgolfscene, and payouts have been sent thru PayPal and Venmo, so you can start bugging your partner for your share. Thank you again to Twin Barns Brewing Company , Union Square Disc Golf , Ryan Pernice , and Matthew Albee . Congratulations to all of the winners, and we hope to see you at the next one!
Cheers!

Hello all,
Just wanted to pass along some stuff for tomorrow. The forecast looks to be a bit wet and chilly, so come prepared. The beer garden and taps will be open rain or shine. Some stuff is subject to change (i.e. payout amounts due to dropouts or last minute CTP/ACE pot buy-ins), but we have most of the details ironed out. I want to give a shoutout to Pat Quinn, Matt Albee, and the rest of the local crew who have spent some time recently getting the course cleaned up. I hear it is looking great. Thank you guys!
Payouts:
Total Buy-ins ($80 per team): $2400
Trophies and player packs ($20 per team to Twin Barns): $600
Total to payouts ($60 per team): $1800
Open Purse: $1200 (Paying out the top 8 teams out of 20)
1st: $380
2nd: $230
3rd: $160
4th: $120
5th: $100
6th: $90
7th: $65
8th: $55
Mixed Purse: $600 (Paying out the top 4 teams out of 10)
1st: $225
2nd: $175
3rd: $125
4th: $75
ACE & CTP Pots:
The ACE Pot is sitting at $260.
Any ace will claim the pot. If there are multiple aces, the pot will be split and awarded accordingly. If there are no aces, there will be a CTP throw-off on hole 1 and the pot will be split equally and awarded to the three closest players to the hole 1 basket. YOU ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR ACE POT IF YOU BOUGHT IN. If you are not currently bought in to the ACE pot, you are still able to buy in when you check in on Saturday morning.
The CTP Pot is sitting at $275.
There will be two cash CTP holes during each round of the tournament. If the CTP pot stays at $275, each CTP hole will be worth $68.75. An ACE on a CTP hole WILL count as both. If the pot increases before the start of the tournament, payouts will be adjusted accordingly. YOU ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR CTP POT IF YOU BOUGHT IN. If you are not currently bought in to the CTP pot, you are still able to buy in when you check in on Saturday morning.
Parking:
Parking isn’t exactly abundant. We’ve had a smooth time running this tournament during motorcycle weekend in the past, so we don’t expect much of an issue. That being said, please try to carpool if possible. We will be getting the tournament going a bit before TB opens for the day, so please try to park as close to the course as possible (the closer to the silver Airstream, the better) to allow for open spots closer to the building.
Dogs:
Although TB and the Beer Garden are dog friendly, we ask that players please refrain from bringing their dogs with them on the course during the tournament. With 3-4 teams on each hole, the course will be congested, and we are trying to help keep the pace of play flowing as normal as possible. Also, we would hate to see an incident occur during the tournament.
SLAMT1D 50/50 Raffle:
We will be doing a 50/50 raffle for donations to our wiffleball team Red, White, and Brew for the Vermont Summer Classic Wiffleball Tournament coming up in August. Money raised goes to help children and families with type 1 diabetes. Raffle tickets will be available at the sign-in table and will be available for purchase during lunch and after the tournament as well. The drawing will take place during awards.
Scoring:
This tournament is set up as an event on Udisc. Please try to keep score using the Udisc event. We will have cards already made in the udisc event, so should be pretty easy to keep score. If a group does not have Udisc, we will have some paper scorecards and pencils available to use to keep score. IF YOU USE A PAPER SCORECARD, PLEASE TALLY UP YOUR SCORES AND DOUBLE CHECK THEM BEFORE HANDING IN AFTER YOUR ROUND.
Other stuff:
ALL PAYOUTS, including Ace and CTP pots will be made thru PayPal, so make sure your information is correct. If you have an issue with PayPal payment, we can make other arrangements for payment, but please try to have a PayPal account accessible to avoid any complications. We will have a short players meeting at 9:45 am and then head out to our holes for roughly 10:00 am start. There WILL be bartenders in the beer garden Saturday morning to serve beers before round 1, if anyone is interested… The food truck and inside kitchen will open at noon. Aside from the two cash CTP holes each round, there will be TWO holes each round that are WOMEN’s ONLY CTPS, all women are eligible. There will be ALL PLAY CTPs and Twin Barns gift cards on the remaining holes each round that EVERYONE will be eligible for. Ryan Pernice at Union Square Disc Golf in Milford, NH also donated some CTP prizes that EVERYONE will be eligible for as well. We are excited to get this fourth annual event going!
Please, feel free to reach out with any last-minute questions or concerns.
Look forward to seeing everyone on tomorrow! LFG!
Cheers!
