Saturday morning do we need to check in at the disc golf store or do we go straight back to the course? I know this is a pay to play course but juniors usually play free right?
How early can they start practicing? Thanks for any info!

Check in will be at the Pavilion by the parking lot. It’s usually a pay to pay but that doesn’t apply to tournaments so you won’t have to pay to get in, if they ask just say that your son is playing in the junior tournament and you’ll be good to go. You can start practicing as early as you guys want. Players meeting at 10:30 and tee off at 11. Hole Assignments are posted.

Hoping to see others Friday! We should be down there in time to get in a practice round. Sure gets dark quicker these days...

Just signed my son up. Looking at possibly camping at the camp ground Friday night. Do they have a website I can check out? Been looking and can't seem to find one

We'll be there Friday evening to check out the course. Hoping to encounter others!

Jason Nowakowski   September 26, 2020 at 5:53pm

Very possible we could. We'll keep an eye out!

Sweet!

Hello, I’m a 15 year old pretty solid disc golfer. I am about a 4 hour drive away. I was wondering if this tournament is worth the drive and does it have payout?

Yeah, the payouts are going to be good with at least $500 added cash to them. Along with a solid turnout, this should be a pretty good event.

After getting feedback from many of the younger players who have played the course, I have decided to have all divisions play from the same set of tees. Details will be updated.

Updates have been made on the Tournament Details to help be more clear about certain things

Hi Elijah, we plan on arriving Friday afternoon hoping to get to see the course in the early evening a day prior to the tournament. I was hoping the short tees would be marked by Friday so we could get a practice round in from where MJ-12 will be playing. For that matter if anybody else will be there Friday maybe we could hook up an enjoy each others' company!

My 8 year old son has played Honeybear from the regular tee pads (the 18 in the woods) and loves the course. If he wants to play the regular pads, should he play up a division? Just not sure how short these holes are going to be since some of the wooded holes are very short already. or are we only talking about holes 5 and 18 that are a bit longer and the rest are regular pads?

I understand as abilities can range severely for that age group. For instance my 5 year old daughter is able to only throw about 80', but my son can throw up to 225 - 250'. He has enough power to get to the pin on most holes there. We'll have to think through it and let you know if he wants to switch divisions. Thanks for all your help.

Elijah Bickel   September 21, 2020 at 2:34am

Just updated the comments, after hearing feedback from many of the Junior players that are MJ12/MJ10 I decided to have all divisions play from the regular tees.

Aaron Waggoner   September 21, 2020 at 12:35pm

Oh, that's awesome! Thanks Elijah! Appreciate it!

Chad Beehler    September 16, 2020 at 2:54am

I didn't see an ace pool. If there is one we'd like to ante into it. Look forward to seeing you there!

Just added one! Thanks for the suggestion.

Chad Beehler   September 18, 2020 at 1:05pm

Great, thanks! We'll pay when we arrive at the tournament if that's okay so I don't have to figure out how to get back into the internet's paying system again for an additional ace pool...

Hi, we're very interested in coming down from the Kzoo area. My son just turned 11 this summer, a 5th grader now, and is hooked to the game (hooray!). We're checking our calendar for everybody in the family and looking into it. High probability.

He's MJ-12. I noticed this in the description:

>>MJ18 and FJ18 will play from the long pads. MJ10 and FJ10 will play from shorter temp tees.<<

Where will MJ-12 play? He has around 250' of distance in him and ... more

No worries, appreciate the heads-up.

Elijah Bickel   September 21, 2020 at 2:35am

Just updated. MJ12 and MJ10 will both also play from the regular tees.

Chad Beehler   September 21, 2020 at 3:43am

Cool, thank you!

Aaron Waggoner    September 14, 2020 at 2:24am

I have noticed my son and one other are the only two signed up for the 10 and under age group. Elijah, do you foresee more kids signing up between now and the tournament? If not, will you still have that division if there are only 2 kids signed up? Just curious how many there were in that division last year. Also, as a side note, I have a friend who said his sons would have played in it if it wasn't 54 holes. He feels that's just too much for kids that age. I know my son can do it, because we just played 54 holes on Saturday and on the way home he was asking if we could play more :)

Well, I’m not really sure if more MJ10s will sign up or not. I’ve been trying to share the heck out of this tournament to get more players. Last year we didn’t have any MJ10s at all. I can have MJ10s play 2 rounds of 18 if that helps anything?

Aaron Waggoner   September 14, 2020 at 12:24pm

I think it may get my friend to have his kids come play. I can ask him what he thinks. On a side note... My 8 year old has played this course in the woods twice from the existing tee pads, and loves it! I noticed you mentioned shorter pads for the U10 div. Some of the holes are pretty short as they ... more
