Let me first say ive been a casual golfer for ten plus years and have participated in many tournaments in the past ten years. And i just left your tourny as a casual golfer and the way i was just treated by organizers and participants alike have encouraged me to quit disc golfing altogether. I was told that the public property of the disc golf course at Tye Cunningham memorial was rented and that the organizers dont HAVE to let me play on PUBLIC property....then when i confronted the "organizer" about that he just says "well i said you could play".......all this sparks a big argument with expletives exchanged and then im advanced on by at least 5 or 6 people like im about to get jumped....so thank you. I was told that its people like me that ruin the sport....when in reality all i was asking was if casual golfers had right of way....it was a yes or no answer that became so much more. I WILL be calling the said disc companies that have sponsered this event. I WILL be finding out who is above the organizer and speaker of the event. I am done with the sport. But i refuse to alow future players to feel this way just because theyre casual and not some 30 year old nobody playing at a nothing tournament in oklahoma thinking theyre above everyone else....

The only you felt like you were going to get “jumped” was when you told the biggest dude there **** you, and then sped off. There was a tournament going on, you could’ve played, but it’s not the players responsibility to let you play through every hole. You acted very inappropriately, it is what it is.

From the reports I’ve heard, this man that was “offended” caused a ridiculous scene at a family park where all was going well. One of the most trusted guys in the Oklahoma disc golf scene was verbally hit by this “Justin” guy. Weird because the dude that was harassed is rather large and a big ol teddy bear. I’m just baffled that someone would go to the lengths of making said scene and typing in this “I quit because of this” stuff and trying to slander the group putting this on. I mean, if you’ve been playing this long, you know casuals can play, they just need to understand a sanctioned event is a big deal. 90+ players, on one course, is a good sign to drive 15 minutes to an open course and get your spin on. Just all to silly for me to digest. Quit feeling disrespected because someone lets you know it’s gonna be a long one. Be a good person and NOT yell foul words at YMCA. Best of luck to you, Sir, on your future life adventures. More painful events to come looking through your eyes.
