39th Annual Back to the Future!

Hello and thank you for joining us for our 39th Annual Back To The Future! I’d like to take a moment and thank our event sponsors. This event has been a bit of a roller coaster. Thanks to Danny Droeger, Ashley Waterbury-Carpenter, Lisa Chubb and Mitch Johnson we had a smooth recovery and have a bad ass event waiting for you Without them, this event wouldn’t be possible. Dave Kemp was huge in helping us secure Sahm when Fall Creek fell through. I can’t thank them enough for stepping up and helping TD this weekend.


For Saturday

I will be your TD for SP POOL

Danny and Mitch will be your TDs for HP POOL.

Your tee assignments can be found at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/51491 as well as your start time. You will need to log in to see updated hole assignments.

Scoring will be done via Live scoring both days. Before you leave your card confirm your score and sign off on it via the app. Use the paper score card back up provided to verify scores. If there’s a different score, work this out with your card. The app is final.

You can pick up a paper card at Tournament central at either course.

Player Pack

Your event shirt is probably the coolest shirt we’ve done yet. This is another point I’d like to touch on. Both of my boys, Sam and Gabe worked around the clock to help process all of our shirts. We were looking at farming them out and the cost came back at $48.00 per. We were able to do these in house at less than half of that. I hope you find these as spectacular as we do. We’ve done well keeping quiet on the design so you’ll have a sweet surprise waiting at the course for you at Hazel Landing.

Please stop by before your round at Hazel and pick up your shirt. Sunday it will be incredibly difficult to get to with tee times. Please please please pick these up prior to your round.


Sahm start pool (SP POOL) will consist of FA1, Fa2, FA3, MA40, Ma50, MA3 and Ma4

Sahm start time is 10 am. Due to Indy Park and rec social distancing protocol, There is no check in. Be on your tee at 9:50 and ready to tee off at 10:00 AM. I will blow a horn 2 times at around 9:58 signaling 2 minutes. When you hear this, please yell 2 minutes to the next card so everyone knows it’s almost time to start. At 10am I will sound a horn one time to signal starting. Please yell Tee Off to the next card so everyone is aware of tee off.

For Round 1 at Sahm

You will be playing short pads for Sahm.

Parking Lot and Beyond is OB.
Shelter is OB.
The road and beyond is OB

Your Cash 50/50 CTP will be on hole 1, do not bring this back in as the others from your pool will be playing for the same cash ctp round 2.

Divisional CTPS for some sweeeeeet Chubb HQ Custom Dyes will be on the course when you get there. These are by division, please pay attention to the ctp card. This will be first round only. After your round, please pick up the hole you end on ctp card (Unless Hole 1 cash ctp, that stays) and bring it to tournament central.

For round 2 you will go to Hazel Landing.

We will have 1 hour and 10 minutes from the last card being turned in. Please, don’t ask when that is. The PDGA website will be updated as well as our thread in the Hamilton Disc Golf Union on Facebook. We will update the pdga with your round 2 hole assignment and start time. At Hazel You will play 18 holes to all yellow baskets from short pads except hole 6 and 9. Hole 6 will be a modified hole with a sign. It’s shorter, still a challenge and much harder to lose a disc on. Hole 9 EVERYONE plays long pad on.




Hazel Start Pool (HP Pool) Will consist of MPO, MP40, MA1, Ma60, Ma2

Hazel start time is 9:30 AM

There is no check in. Be on your tee at 9:20 and ready to tee off at 9:30 AM. I will blow a horn 2 times at around 9:28 signaling 2 minutes. At Hazel for Round 1

Open, MP40 and MA1 will be playing Odd Long Even Short and Blue baskets on 2,6,8,12 and 14.
Your cash CTP will be on hole 1 round 1 only. Your cash ctp will be on hole 1 Round 1 only.

Ma50,MA60 and MA2 will be playing short pads except hole 6 and 9. Hole 6 will be a modified hole with a sign. It’s shorter, still a challenge and much harder to lose a disc on. Hole 9 EVERYONE plays long pad on. Your Cash CTP will be at Sahm park on hole 1 round 2.

The river is OB. The parking lot is OB if you somehow get to it.

You will have Merch CTPS on the course as well. Please pay attention to the flag as these are divisional.


For Round 2 at Sahm

MPO and MP40 will play all longs
Ma1 will play odds long evens short
Ma50, Ma60 and Ma2 will play short pads


Course OB on both courses for Saturday

At Hazel, the river and beyond is OB. The Parking lot is OB if you somehow get there….

At Sahm, the Road and beyond is OB.

The parking lot and beyond is OB.
The Shelter and beyond is OB.


SUNDAY
Will operate on Tee times. I will send a separate Email for that Saturday evening when Tee times are posted.

Payouts will be at Hazel Landing and we will do payouts at the completion of each division.

Once your division is complete we will immediately process payouts and you can be on your way. Neat right? I think it makes for a very smooth completion.

Cash CTP and Open payouts will be complete Tuesday via paypal.

CTPS from Round one will be able to be picked up at your tee time on Sunday.


Our vend is still under construction. It’s functional and operating well.
Bags are not allowed in our vend. You’ll notice security cameras at our setup. I don’t like having to run them. I’m sure you probably don’t like being on them. We have dealt with an extreme amount of theft and have to mitigate it. Please, don’t smoke in or near the vend either.
