Did anyone happen to find a blue star firebird on 17 or 18?

chris deitzel    August 1, 2018 at 1:18pm

Was just curious what time check in is and what time the players meeting is?

Robin WW   August 1, 2018 at 2:02pm

Check in 7:30 - 8:30 , Players meeting 8:30 - 9 . Tee off as close to 9 , but not before, as possible.

I hear some Pros are coming in early.... You should know. Wednesday Night League at Schenley Park. Our oldest course and League. We're playing Blue tees tomorrow. Tee off between 5 & 6 pm. $200 Ace pot. Big shout out to Andy Flemm for doing a fantastic job running it this year. He won't pay you that night, cause it's a handicap league, but will make sure you get paid if you do win. Thursday is Pro/AM Random Doubles at Moraine! Starts at 5:30 sharp. Run by Chris Lache ... more

Can you please confirm that MPO would play the final 9 from blue teepads? What would the layout from those 9 holes be?

Robin WW   July 31, 2018 at 1:04pm

Yes. MPO will play the Final 9 from the Blue. I'll post the pins @ 5pm.

Andrew Fish   July 31, 2018 at 4:56pm

Thanks.

Robin WW   July 31, 2018 at 9:09pm

The Pins for the Final 9 : 1C 2C then carefully walk to 12, there will be a spotter directing traffic to ensure safety, 12C 13B 14C 15B 16B 17B 18C. Everyone plays from the Blues. Things are still yet to be determined, but right now the Final 9 looks like 20 MPO, and 2 in every other Division. The Top 5 Open earn Invites to the USDGC!

Pins for Round 3 : B C C B B B C A C A B B A C B A C C. Weather forecast : Beautiful on Saturday High in the 80's , Afternoon thunderstorms on Sunday!

Ok. Heard a little complaining from locals. It's not going to change Old School. But I agreed to warn yinz so no one is shocked. The first round will be Mixed Cards. That means boys & girls will play on the same card the first round. Young & old as well. That's how it was done. Get over yourself and play your best.

I am not breaking any rules. Note the word "should" in all sentences. It is a suggestion.

Kevin Jacobs   August 1, 2018 at 11:26am

Your reading comprehension skills are clearly lacking. Try reading the last part that clearly indicates that random mixing of divisions is only an option at C-Tiers. Nice job. Oops, sorry, I hope you're not going to rant at me for saying that.

chris deitzel   August 1, 2018 at 1:15pm

I would contact the PDGA tournament director.

Hey PROS! Some locals are organizing a swap meet on Sunday. ... So if you're up for it ... Bring some discs you're willing to trade or sell. And keeping with Old School, if anyone wants to donate a disc for a CTP I will gladly accept it. Thank YOU!

What are the tee assignments that will be used to determine the 5 spots of USDGC qualifiers? For example, will FPO and MP40, MP50 be playing the same tees in all three rounds as the MPO? I assume the Final 9 will not count toward determining the qualifiers, or am I wrong on that?

Robin WW   June 14, 2018 at 12:18am

It depends on the size of the Division. I will make sure everyone knows before they tee off. The Final 9 will count towards determining qualifiers, since it will determine who gets first in their Division.

Robin WW   June 18, 2018 at 3:55pm

I did see the statement, that divisions other than Open are eligible only if they play the same tee assignments as Open. Thank you J. Gary! I will talk to someone with USDGC to see if I can get around this to award a spot to a FPO and an MP40. Otherwise, it will go to the top 5 Open players, I ... more

Robin WW   June 23, 2018 at 2:58pm

The 5 USDGC Invites will go to the Top 5 Open players after the Final 9. Sorry Ladies and Old Pros, not my rule. I am not going to make Open play a round of Blue and Women play 2 rounds of Gold. ... Unless I hear unanimous cries from a Division. Sign Up!

Robin WW    June 5, 2018 at 11:52pm

People! Less than two months now... Sign Up! I'll sleep better. Quick fyi: I went to Moe's for the first time and loved it! I was leaning towards the picnic lunch, cause Bud promised he'd don his grilling apron, But now I know yinz will be happy either way. Right now Moe's is winning the vote.

Thank you. I hope to provide an accurate history in the program. I saw the first one was in 1988, and there wasn't one the year of the World's. KB said there was one other year that was missed, .... any records would be appreciated.
