I will distribute payouts and close out between today and tomorrow. Took last night off to watch my Tigers win.

How did the payouts work for this event? Did all divisions get a payout or voucher?

Gabe Brown   October 1, 2022 at 10:13pm

Am divisions get a player pack voucher and top 45% of each division gets a payout voucher for goods. Pro gets no player pack but cash payout for top 40%

FYI...I am posting this here before the event so there is no confusion. If someone hits an ace from one of the temporary tees being used for MA4, FA3, and MJ12, and they have paid to enter the ace pool, they will only receive the portion of the ace pool that was paid by other people eligible to play from those same tees. (As of now, this is around $35.) If they hit an ace on a hole that all divisions are playing, then they are eligible for the entire ace pool. If the entire ace pool is not claim ... more

For example, 12 year old Ricky McBeth is in MJ12 and the ace pool. He hits an ace on the short tee pad on hole 17. He would get $35 for that (unless another division player does a similar act). If he aces hole 18, then he is eleigible for the entire ace pot.

Gabe Brown   September 30, 2022 at 11:16am

Now, the math gets really fun if multiple aces are hit, but I will habdle that if it occurs. I just did not want people to be surprised if they don't get the entire ace pot for hitting an ace from a box that not everyone will have a chance to play from.

I am still watching weather. It looks better everyday. Current forecast only calls for 0.5" of rain during the day Saturday. That is not a lot of rain. I am still planning to decide on Thursday if any changes will be required.

We have a touring pro joining us! Nice!

Stephen Raab   September 30, 2022 at 12:50am

Who is the touring pro joint us?

Gabe Brown   September 30, 2022 at 1:19am

I was joking about Jake Wolff. He has been dabbling in some huge events recently. Doing very well for himself. It should be a good pro group because all those guys are super talented.

Is there a contingency in case severe weather from hurricane Ian?

Right now, I am monitoring weather. We will make a decision as the weekend approaches and the forecast matures a bit. If it is just rain and wind, we will play.

Gabe Brown   September 26, 2022 at 1:23pm

Keep in mind Hurricane paths are usually unpredictable. I will know more in a couple days.

Cody Irick   September 26, 2022 at 4:57pm

Ok thanks

Gabe Brown    September 23, 2022 at 10:53pm

If it matters, I think even par while playing the short tees is around 870 rated

Asa Kinnunen   September 24, 2022 at 12:47pm

Do you know what even par is rated from regular tees?

Joe Pelletier   September 25, 2022 at 2:24pm

At dolly Cooper classic in May, Even was 882.

Joe Pelletier   September 25, 2022 at 2:26pm

889 at the Bruhaha, and 879 at last year's SRS

Justin Stout    September 21, 2022 at 9:36pm

Everyone has their price...

Gabe Brown    September 14, 2022 at 11:44am

I have added pictures to the tournament in disc golf scene that include the alternate tee boxes MA4, FA3, FA4, and MJ12 will be using. Tee boxes have been marked. There is also a scorecard with distances in the pictures section.

If we sign up for a PDGA # the morning of (to get membership through next year) - would it be to late to adjust the entry fee to reflect the PDGA discount?

Gabe Brown   September 9, 2022 at 8:33pm

No. We can do it then.

Gabe Brown    August 14, 2022 at 8:47pm

Starting with this tourney, I am going to have people turn in their tags when they check in. Round 1 will be used to decide and they will be distributed at the end.

Craig Walker    August 5, 2022 at 1:11am

Any chance the alternate tees will be marked in time to get a practice round before the tournament?

Gabe Brown   August 5, 2022 at 12:00pm

I will try to mark them at least a week before the event.

Craig Walker   August 11, 2022 at 10:56am

You are awesome! Thank you!!!
