Good morning RADicals, and a happy holiday weekend to everyone!
I apologize for getting this info out so close to the opening of this year's flex style tournament that starts at 9AM this morning July 6th! Right now we have 35 registered participants and I wanted to make sure as many people got in before I sent this as possible.
That being said If any of you know anyone who still wants to register, I created a dgscene "series" for this event which basically means I created a second event to allow people to register through July 16th.
EVEN THOUGH IT IS A SECOND EVENT ON "DGSCENE.COM/RAYSTOWNCIRCUIT2024CONTINUE" EVERYONE WILL RECORD SCORES ON UDISC FOR THE SAME EVENT ALL COMPETING AGAINST THE OTHERS WHO SIGN UP IN YOUR DIVISION.
The caddy guide is set and ready for your viewing pleasure, see attached!
Remember you have 2 weeks from 9AM on July 6th through around dusk on July 20th to log your official round on Udisc (download at
https://udisc.com/ and create a free account) under the event "Raystown Circuit Event 2024" (be sure to select the appropriate division).
If you are unsure how to use Udisc for scoring, follow the link below for a short tutorial on how to operate the app:

MJ15 & BEG players will go out and play their best 18 holes on the Pine 9 course, no OB or mandos.
REC players will adhere to usual OUT OF BOUNDS (posted on tee signs) and play 27 holes on the Pine 9 course.
EXP players ONLY will follow all of the additional difficulties listed in the caddy guide and play 27 holes on the Pine 9 course. This includes all of the following:
Hole 1: Mando on 2nd and 3rd round
Hole 2: Island (marked with white survey flags and white paint on the ground, flags may have to be pulled for mowing on Monday, July 8th)
Hole 3: Normal
Hole 4: Normal
Hole 5: Skinny fairway and OB near basket (marked with white paint)
Hole 6: Mando on 2nd and 3rd round
Hole 7: Island around basket
Hole 8: added OB near basket
Hole 9: Normal
The event must be completed with at least one other participant (regardless of division) if your partner is only playing 18 holes and you are playing 27 please be honest and have them accompany you around for the final 9. If you do not have someone else in the event to play with, reach out to Scott to arrange someone to come with you. If you are playing with someone who is playing a different number of total holes, please shoot me an email or text with a heads up.
We have been asked many times about being able to practice with the discs before logging your round. We don't condemn throwing them a bit before your official round to get a feel for them. When it comes time for your scored round though, be honest, decide when your round is going to start, and see it through HONESTLY to the end. Please do not discard your round once you and your card mates decide it's time for the legit scored round.
If at any time during your round you have any questions, please reach out to Scott Graham (919 710 2621) for clarity if your card cannot clarify anything you encounter.
Check in will be at the Raystown Reflections Gift Shoppe at the Visitor's Center (6993 Seven Points Rd, Hesston, PA 16647) from 9am to 5pm. Anyone that wishes to check in outside that time needs to reach out to Scott to ensure I grab your player packs for you so they don't get locked up for the evening. Once they're locked up I can't get them until the next morning.
Using only the provided 3 or 4 discs (if you bought the Melon Pitch), you must log your official round in Udisc by the 20th of July. If you encounter a problem with Udisc, please complete a paper copy of your round and turn it in with legible scores and names (There are paper scorecards in the mailbox on the kiosk by the practice basket).
