Thank you for signing up for the 2nd Annual Golden Triple Trouble. This is a Triples event, playing Heritage Disc Golf Course in Olathe, KS. We will play 2 rounds.
Check In is from 8am until 8:45am with a Mandatory Players Meeting at 9am. One person from each team needs to check in. If you check in, you are agreeing that your entire team is present and ready to participate.
Formats
Round 1 is Best Shot Triples, playing all of the long placements at Heritage Park. Long is determined by the sequence of letters. If there is a A Only position, you would play the A. If there is a B placement, you will play the B and if there is a C placement, you will play the C.
The way best shot is played, is that all three players throw there shots and the team selects which shot they think is the best and then all three throw the next shot following the same rules until a single player makes the shot into the basket.
Round 2 is Alternate Shot Triples, playing all of the short basket placements. You will play ONLY the A Basket placements for round 2.
Alternate shot is played that when you arrive to your starting hole for round #2, the team will select who is player 1, player 2, and player 3. As an example on the first hole, player 1 drives, player 2 makes the putt and player three would drive on the next hole and so on. No player will ever play 2 shots in a row.
Scoring
We will keep score on a paper scorecard, using a traditional scorepoint for public display of results.
Payout
This is an all cash (Payout will be via PayPal) payout for the top 2 in each division assuming there are at least 6 teams in your division. If there are less than 6 teams in a division, the payout will be prorated. The individuals from the winning teams will need to make sure I have their paypal email address for payout.
This event is ultimately a fundraiser for the 2026 Kansas City Wide Open. Any remaining funds from entry or other items such as the raffle will go to the 2026 KC Wide Open.
Raffle
For those in the Raffle, those will be drawn during round 1 and available for pick up at Tournament Central during the rounds. The results will be posted on the discgolfscene comment page. If an item is not picked up, it will be up to the player to make arrangements to pick up.
Team Communication
Some teams registered their entire team using a single email address. If this is the case with your team, please make sure you share these details with your team, so they do not miss out.
