Player Email just Sent Out:
Hello 2024 MHDGC Ice Bowl Players!
This is our FINAL email for tomorrow's Ice Bowl!
We are expecting a little snow overnight, We will try to get out early to shovel and If anyone is free to help us out before our first tee time at 8am, it would be greatly appreciated. ALSO: Players will have the option to tee from the left or right of any tee pad up to 3 feet from the concrete: In case things are icy.
Here are the final notes:
1: This is a PDGA Sanctioned event, so no alcohol or substances are allowed to be consumed during the round, and non service animals are also not allowed with players. We needed insurance to reserve the course and the cheapest easiest way to do that is sanction the event, and fortunately the PDGA has a program where the sanctioning and per player fees are waived for charity events. This is an X Tier, rounds are NOT rated, you are getting PDGA points which can count toward qualifying for PDGA worlds and point total, that is all.
2. Scoring will be completed using the PDGA.com/Score website or the App with Passcode: ICE
3. Check in no less than 15 minutes before your tee time so we can keep things smooth, look for us over by the Gazebo near Hole 1! Everyone including pros will be getting a Ice Bowl 2023 Disc player pack this year!
4. Mulligans: (You all start with 5 just for registering) If you bought mulligans, fundraised any amount to bring or collected them via our online portal (3 mulligans for every $25 raised), Winter Warriors Attendance, or any other listed method on the event page, I will have those organized and told to you and your card at start time. You can share mulligans with your card mates as well if you would like. Mulligan shots must be played, you can mulligan a mulligan, or another mulligan. You can mulligan a drive, a putt, or an approach. The last shot you take is the one you keep.
5. Layout: We will play Bird's Nest in its current layout ( Short Tee on 4, Short basket on 12). Which will be a par 57 Layout (1/14/17 as par 4). The ONLY OB is the property line defined by a fence line or a sidewalk and beyond, or the Road and beyond on 4 and 6.
6. CTPs: Every group will have 1 hole for a CTP, the Winner will get to choose a disc from our donated pile(Thank you MHDGC, members, and Disc Revolution for your donations)! Our CTP hole will be hole 18, so it is fresh in your mind!
7. The only costs taken out of registration are the player packs and trophies, EVERY single dime remaining goes to the Food Bank of the Rockies, there are no payouts, just a trophy for first place winners! Thank you all for making this possible!!
8. Ties for 1st: If there is a tie for 1st, congratulations you are the co-Winners! The person who collected the most funds to the food bank will receive the trophy, if thats a tie, then I will let you battle it out how you see fit. (Remember, this is for charity)
9. The Silent Auction is being put together still and expected to go live on our discord server this following weekend. I will email you all when that goes live!
I want to thank Josh Kreutzer for being my Assistant TD for this and giving me a hand to get things going day of!
I want to thank Leonard Miller, Dain Eric Cunningham, Jason Hefkin, Leo Miller, and anyone else who helped all the Winter Warriors events go so smoothly leading us up to this point and giving us a great headstart to our final fundraising total! These Winter Warriors fought many conditions this year and your efforts do not go unnoticed!
I think I have most of the details covered and ready to go here, please reach out with any questions and I will happily be there to clarify!
