Hello Players,
I hope everyone is having a great Canada Day and enjoying the wonderful weather we had today. This email will cover everything that you will need to know for this weekend's event.
Tee Times and Event Schedule
This event will be a 2-round tournament held over one day for each division. First Round Tee times will be posted Thursday Night, and attached to this email, you will find a Tee Block Document. This is the projected tee times for the second round for each division. For this event, Players must check in with me 5 minutes before their tee time. Anyone who doesn't check in will receive a 2-stroke penalty.
Course and Hole Rules
On the course, we will have 4 things that will determine OB at all times. Roadways, Parking Lots, Fences, and Paved paths will be the OB lines for the event, so if you're on or beyond any of these, you will be OB.
Hole 4: Players playing from the Red Tee will play to the Original pin (Purple Band), any players playing from the White Tees will play to the Red Hanging Basket. Area Flagged to the right of the basket is a causal relief area. Players may proceed to the marked DZ with no penalty stroke.
Hole 7: If your disc lands in the water to the right, players may proceed to the marked DZ with no penalty stroke
Hole 9: The Marked line that goes from fence to fence is OB
Hole 10: Single Mando Right, Any shots that miss the Mando, proceed to DZ with a penalty stroke
Hole 11: Mando Left, Any shots that miss the Mando head to Red tee with a penalty stroke
Hole 15: Road plays as a River, beyond the road is safe.
Ontario Disc Golf Tour & ODSA Membership Requirement
White Spruce Open will be an Ontario Tour event this year, and we will be awarding 3 provincial qualifier spots (as well as our shiny new 2025 Velcro patches) to the top finishers in each division (top 2 in MA3/FA3). We're also awarding club points for the Ontario Club Championships.... and hosting our annual travelling Pound ace hole. To be eligible for qualifying, club points, or any of our extracurricular member promotions, you must be a current ODSA member before beginning your first round this weekend.
If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out to me!
Thanks,
Spencer
