Todd, great ask! Gorilla golf is when holes are combined to make a super hole. Example the first gorilla hole we will have set up is hole 1 lakeside to hole 5 lakesides basket. Very fun hole for spectators to enjoy and a really interesting combination.
For our skins we will be inviting division winners and the top finishing pros to play gang golf style through the 3 holes. Should be very fun. They do something similar at the Sizzler every year, our version is going to be all around tournament central where we will have food and drinks for the players to enjoy while watching. Hope I explained it well, I’m a bit gassed from the tournament prep but this should be a fantastic weekend! Thanks for your support friend!

Hey Tim, sorry if that was insulting. You don’t understand what it is like to be a TD if you have not been one yet. I don’t have anything to do with this particular event but i have run a few now and questions like this really irk the TD(speaking generally here). We spend months and months of hard work planning these events for the community and try to take every possible scenario in to account to come up with the best event for everyone. Decisions with start times, format (tee time vs shotgun) and so on are thought out and talked over with the staff months in advance. To just chime in randomly the night before the event and ask for a major change that might benefit just you is arrogant and better off being left unsaid. I’m not trying to make it a big thing it just triggered me to see that and I know how it feels since I’ve been in that position before. I hope you understand where I’m coming from, I’m not coming at you personally, I would of responded to anyone that posted something like that in hopes to educate them that a TD’s decision is not going to be changed by a player request the night before an event starts. Hopefully no hard feelings. Also they stated the race was happening in the about section on this DiscGolfscene event page so it wasn’t something I just made up. Good luck tomorrow, give the TD’s a break and some praise, it’s not easy doing this stuff but we do it because we love to and want the community to have a great time and stress ourselves out as little as possible.

Ohh, a significant amount of gold pad players reached out asking to play the par 4 instead of the par 3. Tournament staff reviewed the request and the amount of players asking and made that change last weekend, I didn’t think about the map.

Let me know if there’s a discrepancy somewhere out there. I may have made a mistake somewhere and I definitely don’t want misinformation getting out there. It should be Pro 50 playing Longs on Northside And mixed lakeside. Am 50 should be mixed/hybrid on both Courses
