Hello,
Thanks for registering for the Runway Rumble on July 12th at the Airport Nordic Ski Club DGC in Gander. Here’s an update on a few things:
Runway Rumble
We are planning to expand the course with a temporary 18-hole layout for this event. Adam Berry and Zach Masters have been working on the new holes, and we’re excited for what they’ve come up with. The layout will have red and blue dirt/grass tees marked with flags and high quality baskets on portable stands. The current plan is to have MPO/FPO and MA1/FA1 play from the blue tees and all other divisions play from the red tees, but we’ll confirm this after the course is installed.
The current plan is to install the baskets on Tuesday July 8th and finalize the layout for the tournament. The course will be open for practice rounds after it has been installed, and a detailed caddy book will be sent to registered players on Wednesday or Thursday.
The event will be two 18-hole rounds with shotgun starts. The schedule has been added to the DGS Page (
dgscene.com/dgnl2025tourgander). Hole assignments will be posted to
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/91257 on Friday, but may change, so please confirm on Saturday morning.
I forgot to add an ace pot option at registration. It’s been added to the registration form for $5. I think you can just update your registration, but if not (or if it includes extra fees), you can just bring $5 cash or e-transfer to [email redacted] and I’ll add you to the list. If no aces, there’ll be a CTP after the event for the pot.
Disc Golf NL Club Championships
We’re thrilled to announce the inaugural Disc Golf NL Club Championships to be held at the Gander Airport Nordic Ski Club on Sunday July 13th (the day after the Gander Stop on the Disc Golf NL Tour).
Members of Disc Golf NL-sanctioned clubs (i.e., Bay St. George Disc Golf Association; Corner Brook Disc Golf, Gander Disc Golf, and Avalon Disc Golfers) will compete in singles and doubles matches against each other, accumulating points for their club. The club with the most points will win bragging rights and a special trophy they can keep for the year. The exact format of the event will depend on the number of players, and will be finalized after registration closes, but the first rounds will start in the morning, and the final rounds will end mid- to late afternoon.
There is no cost for this event, but all participants must be registered with a DGNL-sanctioned club. This is not a PDGA-sanctioned event, and scoring will be done on UDisc.
Registration is open at
