Hello, I am wondering if it is possible for me to switch to FA2. Thanks :)

Shannon Roadknight    3 days ago

Hi Carrie!

Could I switch to FA2 or is it too late for that?

Is it possible to switch to ma1?

What day does parking lot camping begin?

Chad Smoliak   5 days ago

I am pretty sure it's a year round thing so there isn't really a start time. I can tell you there is also a soccer tournament the same weekend as the TCO and you can not reserve a spot there so the earlier the better. Tickets / passes are purchased through the kiosk on site.

Carrie Neal    April 11 at 3:32pm

For everyone trying to book camping in Logan Lake… We were told that some sites would be set aside for disc golfers. I am currently waiting to hear back as to how we can get players in touch prior to May 1st to book said sites. I know it’s a limited number…10-12 max, and will be first come first served. When I have the information, I will send an email out to plauers using the email address provided during tournament registration.

To my knowledge I booked the last available slot at the campground the day I registered for TCO.

Blair Richmond   May 3 at 1:49pm

Is there any update on the Logan Lake sites? I've tried to book a few times and every time it says there are no sites available for those dates.

Blair Richmond   May 3 at 8:10pm

Update :) I called and they do have sites available.

Brad Smith    April 5 at 3:27pm

Any updates on camping? I've never been out that way, so any camping recommendations are appreciated!

That site is about a ten minute walk to he Logan lake course, not sure how full it is but I've stayed there and enjoyed it.

Charlie Picken   April 5 at 4:12pm

There is a few RV style camp sites in town that you can tent at. Logan lake I'd say is better but if you wanna be in town then they might be the way to go

Carrie Neal   April 5 at 4:13pm

Perfect! You beat me to it! They have all kinds of sites available...tents, RV, Hook-ups. Bathrooms with showers, wifi...it's a sweet set-up! They know there's a disc golf tournament and do have some sites set aside.

Is there a size chart for the jerseys?

XXL is as short as XS, I guess I'm getting a crop top lmao!

Elizabeth deVries   February 21 at 3:52am

That was an error. Fixed!

Dalton Mack   March 1 at 5:11am

So we can’t get crop tops? I’ve been working on my dad gut and was hoping to show it off.

Why did MA40 get put in pool B this year?

Chad Smoliak   February 16 at 6:32pm

When building the pools I needed them both to have a 200 player cap and used numbers based on prior division sizes as a guideline when figuring out how best to arrange them.

Rob Clayton   February 16 at 6:57pm

Ahh makes sense, disappointing but understandable

Brad Smith   April 2 at 4:00am

I hear ya. Hopefully the entrant numbers dictate MA40 more fitting for pool A than MA2. No offense to anyone, just distance speaking! Copper Gold, Copper Blue, and Mac Universal seems right for MA1 and Ma40. Of course I just get to play! And not organize.... So I appreciate all the work! Haha

Chad Smoliak    February 12 at 6:01pm

There have been a few questions in regards to layouts for the courses, mainly Copper Ridge.

At McArthur Island with the exception of Junior divisions everyone will play the same layout with adjusted pars. Juniors may see some small changes.

Copper Ridge is currently in the planning phases of some redesign. We don’t know how far along it will be by the time the tournament starts. We can assure you that what you play will be great, as Brett Hanna has been doing fantastic work ther ... more

Would there be a world where Ma1 would play all gold pads? no critique either way, i personally just like the challenge of the gold pad (I know I don't necessarily speak for everyone)

Richard Cook   February 16 at 5:22pm

I agree with Craig B, I can't remember if we played Blue last year but arm fatigue is the reality now. Red helps with reducing that.

Chad Smoliak   February 20 at 4:26am

I can definitely take the thoughts from the MA70 in to consideration. It's a difficult balance and impossible to make everyone happy. That being said some changes can be considered if entire divisions wish for there to be

Shannon Sanders    February 7 at 12:01am

Carrie, Chad and others...thank you so much for putting this together. It is a massive undertaking! This will be my first TCO, so I am excited! Well done, everyone.

Chris Carlton    February 5 at 8:23pm

Any info on which divisions are in each pool? And what T pads they are playing? Not interested in playing short pads at Logan again.

Carrie Neal   February 5 at 8:52pm

Pools are listed on the registration page. We will have the tee pad assignments announced for sure by the end of this week, trying for sooner. With the new design at Copper Ridge, we needed to take some time to consider distances and pars

Carrie Neal    February 5 at 3:23am

I want to address course selection for TCO. Our team appreciates the feedback and hopes that everyone can understand that when running an event of this caliber, almost a year of planning goes into it and decisions being made are not done off the cuff or without serious discussion. The reality is, Rose Hill is not our park. It's a city park and when enough local residents complain, the city listens. Yes, we parked on the grassy area the last two years. That is no longer an option. Two vehicl ... more

Mike Evans   February 5 at 7:24pm

Great explanation. Constraints happen. Sounds like the plan was optimized with all due considerations.

Charlie Picken   February 6 at 6:14am

Bummer to heard about the parking situation but a very understandable decision. Thanks for the update Carrie !

Gryphon Vester    February 5 at 12:46am

Super disappointed to see you have decided not to use Rose Hill. I probably won't be coming out this year if that's the case. Was parking an issue with the city, or just something you thought was an issue? It seemed fine to me last year. Also a few years ago at club champs the grass area was opened up for parking and there seemed to be lots of space.

Either way, a huge L losing Rose Hill for tournament rounds, really hoping that decision get reconsidered if at all possible, it is by far the best course out there in my opinion

Thanks for the feedback, I knew it probably wasn't a decision made lightly, I just wanted to voice my opinion and see how final the decision was/the reasoning behind it. I see there is a schedule, but I couldn't find what divisions are in what pool. If MPO is playing 2 rounds on the new go ... more

Chad Smoliak   February 6 at 5:30am

The pools and schedule are there , MPO is playing Copper Ridge rounds 1 and 2 and I really do think people are going to enjoy it a lot more than Rose Hill.

Charlie Picken   February 6 at 6:06am

I do agree that playing a McArthur style course isnt as fun has a wooded course with natural OB. Im stoked for the future and hope Dick hart will be ready for TCO 2025 as it a great course with lots of natural OB. Still stoked for TCO 2024 tournament! Looking forward to fun event and cool to hear there might be a C tier at rose and or other cool activities. Thanks Kamloops team and all you do!

Logan Nazareno    February 2 at 3:55pm

It's a shame you guys decided to host this event 2 weeks before the b.c.o
Was looking forward to this being played in May.

Definitely agree with it being a shame that Rose isn't being played. Hopefully it means Dick Hart will be used

Derek Whipps   February 3 at 5:39pm

Agree, Rick and Rob, Rose Hill is one of my favourite courses in the province. A big Shame it's not going to be played.

Rob Clayton   February 3 at 11:45pm

Most the people I've talked to look forward to getting a chance to play up there and actually prefer it to the island

John Bowers    February 1 at 9:57pm

I do see the wording "AMATEUR TROPHY ONLY EVENT ..." in at least a couple of prominent places. Perhaps this is trying something different. Does this mean that all divisions, whether Am or Pro are competing for a trophy only, and everyone gets a player package? If the answer is Yes to this question, I then wonder why the entry fees differ from Pro divisions to Am divisions. I would imagine that most Pro players wouldn't generally wish to spend their higher net entry fee on unknown discs and accessories, even if they are benefiting from the added cash that turns into more discs.

Thanks. That's what I thought, though the ALL CAPS right at the top of the About and the Comments pages made we wonder.

Carrie Neal   February 2 at 4:49pm

The all caps is to grab the players attention. We has some players travelled, some from a quite a distance, the last two years who apparently didn't read anything and were very disappointed that they didn't get paid our in merch or gc's. I would prefer to have everyone see that the Ams are Trophy only right off the hop, and then they can decide if they want to attend or not.

Carrie Neal   February 2 at 4:50pm

ps...sorry about the spelling errors!

Jeremy Power    January 24 at 7:18pm

Is the Rose Hill course going to be part of the tournament this year?

Chad Smoliak   January 24 at 7:52pm

The actual tournament it’s self will not be using Rose Hill , the parking etc there makes it very difficult for large events. However I believe the current plan is to have other activities happening there throughout the weekend for people to participate in before / after their tournament rounds. Stay tuned.

Sean Goodwin    January 21 at 4:24am

Roughly when does registration open for this?
