9:24 email update:

I have gotten a mountain of questions already and I will try to respond as best as I can. I just got off the phone with PDGA Event Support to discuss and here is what we discussed:

Refunds: Refunds are handled by NADGT and NADGT has stated that if you request a refund, you will receive a 100% refund. If you still want to play, come out.

Safety: Safety is the TOP PRIORITY for these events. For each strike of lightning, we have to delay the event ... more

I’m confused as to where the weather issue is now? Plenty of us got here early to wait for it to clear up and it looks like it is. Nothing shows a forecast for lightning that I can find

Jacob Geesin   April 28 at 2:26pm

I am using weatherbug and the weather channel as two sources. We need to wait at least 30 minutes after a lightning strike within 15 miles for the all clear. I am seeing storms until 11:00, which means the earliest we can do check in with a 30-minute break is 11:30. Then we need time for player meeting, etc. That is why start time was adjusted to 12:30

Joe Rosemond    April 28 at 1:57pm

Is there an option to withdraw with full refund. Due to the weather delays and no longer two rounds.

I would also like to know if this is possible.

Jacob Geesin   April 28 at 2:25pm

I just sent an email update. If you request a refund, NADGT will give you a full refund

Joe Rosemond   April 28 at 2:33pm

I was really looking forward to playing this course for first time since 2016. But I am requesting a full refund and withdraw from tournament.

Jacob Geesin    April 28 at 12:23pm

Due to weather, we are delaying check in to 9:30 and start time to 10:15. Email sent out at 7:22am. Reach out to Jace or me if you have questions. We will keep you updated via email and posts on here.

As many of you have mentioned, there is a 70% chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. The plan is to play 2 shotgun start rounds with Round 1 beginning at 9am. We will follow PDGA rules and guidelines about weather, meaning that the only thing that will stop the event is lightning. However, safety is of the utmost importance to us, so we put together the survey below. In the event that there is inclement weather we wanted to give you guys the chance to vote beforehand on whether or not we should play ... more

Definitely two! Rain happens. Let's just pray it doesn't lightning

Nicholas Montefour    April 26 at 3:45am

If lighting is horrible Sunday for a 9am tee off my 1.5 cents suggests a later start time with 1 round of 27 holes. It worked well with similar weather issues in a past tourney. Much love

Jace Whitehead   April 26 at 5:42pm

We will start at 9. A decision will be made Sunday morning.

Jace Whitehead   April 26 at 6:05pm

I will evaluate the situation over the next two days. However, players paid for two rounds of golf, and I will do my best to make sure that happens. There are plenty of people wanting your spot if you’re worried about it.

Joshua Koen    April 25 at 1:59pm

Any chance it'll get delayed due to lighting you think?

Jace Whitehead   April 25 at 3:12pm

We will do our best to follow PDGA guidelines, but unless there is a serious concern for player safety I don’t plan on delaying.

Tim Rinehart    April 25 at 2:26am

Is there any chance the competitor limit will be expanded since the waitlist is pretty small? I’d love the chance to compete if at all possible even if I don’t get a player pack!

Jace Whitehead   April 25 at 3:49am

I unfortunately can’t expand the roster. Since the format is a shotgun start the maximum amount of people I can fit on the course at once is 90. With 90 people playing we will have a 5 card on every hole.

Jim Craig    April 25 at 2:25am

Jace, tried to edit my registration to move to MA50 but it seemed to attempt to cancel and then require re-registration. Didn’t want to risk getting removed - can you move me to MA50? Thanks, Jim

Jace Whitehead   April 25 at 3:51am

Welcome to the MA50 division. Best of luck this Sunday!

For anyone considering dropping out, I will definitely register if offered the spot (I’m waitlist #2 currently), meaning you will get a 100% refund!

Jace Whitehead   April 24 at 10:46pm

^^ This is correct for anyone thinking they can’t make it.

Rafael Frias    April 24 at 2:30pm

What are the chances I get added to MA3 after the cap? I live out of town and would want to know before I enter the Waitlist.

Jace Whitehead   April 24 at 10:44pm

At this point probably pretty slim. It’s best to just hop on the waitlist ASAP, you will always receive a full refund if you don’t get in.

Mike Chesnut    April 24 at 2:21am

If need be, the MA60 players Me (Mike) and Jim would be willing to move to MA50.

Ryan McCrary   April 24 at 3:11am

NOOOOOO!!!!! LMAO

Jace Whitehead   April 24 at 10:40pm

Totally up to you guys. I can make it work out regardless.

Please don't make this old fart waft far. Make sure my starting hole is down wind.

Jace Whitehead   April 23 at 5:34pm

I will do my best to accommodate starting with the MA60 guys.

Jace Whitehead   April 25 at 3:54am

@Ryan 90 people at Roy G from the shorts. I do hope the second round starts at 1:15, I would consider that a success.

William Bittick    April 20 at 5:12pm

What does the late fee mean for me? Do we not get the player pack and we pay an extra fee?

Kyle Harrigan   April 20 at 5:27pm

It means it will be shipped to you

Tim Barnes    April 19 at 9:33pm

What time should I plan to arrive for MA3?

Ryan McCrary   April 21 at 6:53pm

It's going to be a shotgun start being that it's 2 rounds, I could be wrong. So be there early

Jace Whitehead   April 21 at 11:44pm

Round 1 will begin at 9am. I will be out there starting check-in at 7:30. Don’t be scared to check-in early, your TD won’t mind. :)
