Burchfield Open 2024 Player’s Meeting

Welcome to the Burchfield Open 2024 tournament. Thank you to Burchfield Park for allowing us to host this event.

There will be an hour break between rounds. There will not be food on site and it is about 10-15 min to the nearest food so please plan accordingly. Second round tee times may be different for each pool depending on when each Pool finishes round 1.

We will be using PDGA scoring for this event. Each player is required to keep score. If you do not have cell service or phone access, a paper score card will be available.

Pools are being used to determine course playing order.

A Pool - MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MA2
A Pool - Round 1: Renegades Trail - Round 2: Rivers Edge

B Pool - MA3, MA4, MA40, MA50, MA60, FA1, FA2, FA3, FA4
B Pool - Round 1: Rivers Edge - Round 2: Renegades Trail

Some important layout items. Hole 9 and 10 share an OB road between them so please make sure that your throw is clear and keep your heads up. Holes 11 and 15 run parallel with an OB line on the RIGHT side of the shared tall grass. Please ignore the fading line on the left side from a previous tournament.

OB lines have been painted for the event. Please ignore some faded lines from a previous tournament and a cross country event. The fresh lines have been painted outside or on top of existing lines. If there is any confusion, please play a provisional and check with the TD after the round. Take a picture if needed. Please check the OB listed on the live scoring for accurate OBs.

River’s Edge relief: If a lie in or near the river is determined by the card to be unsafe, please take relief within one meter of the top of the bank.

Trophies will be available for the winner of the following divisions:
MA1, MA2, MA3, MA4, MPO

Ace Pool and 50/50 flags will be left out for BOTH rounds to allow each pool to play it once. Payouts for Ace Pool and 50/50 will not be divided between the pools since everyone is playing the same layouts. Do not pick up the flags after round 1.
