2023 Hub City DGC Mixed Doubles (a Throw Pink event)

All proceeds will be donated to the Throw Pink organization.

Mixed = 1 male and 1 female. There is also a ladies-only division.

COURSE

USC Upstate

Event HQ will be set up in the parking lot above the practice basket.


DIVISIONS

Players must sign up as a team, but in the division of the highest rated team player. If neither player has a rating, then MA3 is probably the best choice.

FORMAT

Round 1: Best shot doubles; guys tee from longs, ladies tee from shorts

Round 2: Best shot doubles; all tee from shorts (no temps), but each player is responsible for 9 tee shots


LAYOUT

All holes are par 3.

Long Tees (Round 1): Holes 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10.
Temp Short Tees (Round 1): 11, 17, 18.
Round 2 will not use the temp short tees.

OB/RULES:

All paved surfaces are OB.
All OB to be played with normal OB rules, unless stated below:

Hole 4: Hillside to the right of fairway and behind basket (marked with flags)
Hole 5: Triple mando w/ DZ (red) between the poles
Hole 8: Bog to left of basket (marked with flags); fence to right (2 meters relief)
Hole 10: Creek and beyond
Hole 13: Bog to right of basket (marked with flags)
Hole 15: Bog to right of fairway (marked with flags)
Hole 17: Bog to left of fairway (marked with flags)


FREE CTP

$50 cash CTP offered to all players on Hole 5.


ACE POOL

$5 optional ace pool to be paid in cash day-of.
If there are no aces, then the winner of the Hole 5 CTP will win the ace pool.
If the CTP winner was not in the ace pool, then the next name on the CTP list wins.
If none of the above conditions are met, then there will be a throw-off on Hole 1.


PLAYER'S PACK

In the spirit of being a Throw Pink event, all ladies will receive a Throw Pink stamped disc (Innova molds - Valkyrie, Mamba, IT, etc.). Both players will also receive a custom event stamped towel.

CTPs

Since the ladies will be the recipients of the player's packs, the guys will have the opportunity to snag 4 CTPs in Round 2:

- Hole 2 (Kastaplast Glow Berg)
- Hole 3 (Innova Halo Firebird)
- Hole 17 (Discraft 6-claw McBeth Zone)
- Hole 18 (MVP "Lizottyl" Glow Hex)

PAYOUT

This is a trophy-only event. The top 3 teams in each division will receive trophies (2 per team).

RAFFLE

We will raffle off a Throw Pink basket for charity on the day of the event. Tickets may be purchased through sign-ups or on the day of the event ($1/each).
