Let the battle begin! Here are a few notes for 14th annual Border Battle between Charleston and Savannah. This is always a really fun event played all in MATCH PLAY. Thank you for attending!
Match play is a scoring system in which a player, or team, earns a point for each hole in which they have bested their opponents. Unlike stroke play, in which the unit of scoring is the total number of strokes taken, match play scoring consists of individual holes won, halved or lost. On each hole, the most that can be gained is one point. Golfers play as normal, counting the strokes taken on a given hole. The golfer with the lowest score on a given hole receives one point. If the golfers tie, then the hole is halved. For both rounds the team/player with the most points at the end of the round receives a point for their team. If the score is all-square after the last hole the teams each receive a half point.
You will know who your doubles partners will be, who you are matched up against, and what hole you will be starting on the morning of the event. Teams were set separately by team captains beforehand and lined up the morning of, to be fair and efficient.
Team SAVANNAH will be on Gray Cards
Team CHARLESTON will be on Blue cards
Please turn in your paper score card at the end of each round. This is how we will tally and double check points.

Bathrooms are close to Hole 9's gold tee, but you can also drive up to the clubhouse.
We have noticed a few copperheads by hole 3 basket the past few weeks. Please be aware snakes and alligators are around.
If you have any questions, please feel free to post in the comments section on Disc Golf Scene or reach out to your team captain.
