Yes, there is weather approaching with rain and wind. We are keeping track and plan to have everything running on time, but please come prepared. If everyone packs an umbrella it is common knowledge the rain will stay away!
You will know who you are matched up against, and what hole you will be starting on the morning of the event. Teams have been set separately by team captains beforehand to be fair and efficient.

LAYOUT: MATCH PLAY BOTH ROUNDS FROM BLUE TEE PADS
Score cards handed out on Saturday will have rules of match play and other format info, so no need to take notes All OB rules will be on the score cards provided.
Match play is a scoring system in which a player, or team, earns a point for each hole in which they have bested their opponents. Unlike stroke play, in which the unit of scoring is the total number of strokes taken, match play scoring consists of individual holes won, halved or lost. On each hole, the most that can be gained is one point. Golfers play as normal, counting the strokes taken on a given hole. The golfer with the lowest score on a given hole receives one point. If the golfers tie, then the hole is halved. For both rounds the team/player with the most points at the end of the round receives a point for their team. If the score is all-square after the last hole the teams each receive a half point.
1st round Doubles: BLUE TEES
Holes 1-7 best disc – each player makes every throw and the team decides which disc to play.
Holes 8-13 alternate shot – the players alternate shots; ex. player 1 tees off, player 2 takes second shot, player 1 putts. Regardless of who putts out the players alternate driving.
Holes 14-20 best score – each player plays the entire hole separately and the team takes the lowest score.
2nd round Singles: BLUE TEES
One player from each team will be matched up and compete in a match play round.
Course rules for the Sarge:
-Please do not go in the water, there are alligators present!
-If you are able to grab your disc with a retriever then you can do that, however, do not use a scraping device on the land. The Sarge is a state protected park.
-Please clean up after yourself. Make sure to throw all trash in the receptacle provided, and make sure to leave your parking area clean. Please do not leave your car running during lunch if parked in the grass.
Park Staff will be present, so let’s be on our best behavior and thank the staff when you see them. They do a lot for this course and the disc golf community.
Bathrooms are close to Hole 9's gold tee, but you can also drive up to the clubhouse.
If you have any questions, please feel free to post in the comments section on Disc Golf Scene or reach out to your team captain.
