A couple of updates heading into Friday evening:

First, I updated the OB rules just a little today. Rather than flagging the creek on holes 8, 13, and 14, we will use the natural water line to designate the creek. If anything, this should work in your favor because the flagged line would have been a few inches away from the water line. Additionally, anything in or beyond the creek on hole 16 will play as OB.

Second, the weather tomorrow does present a little bit of concern. Our goal is to play the full two-round event, but our top priority is players' safety. We are closely monitoring the forecasts for tomorrow and may have to adjust accordingly. If it looks like the road conditions are going to be too bad in the late afternoon, we may need to cancel the second round. If we decide to drop down to a single round, we will try to announce that at the players meeting in the morning.

Finally, I am working right now to put hole assignments together. We have had several sign-ups today, and I've heard from a few people who might sign up tomorrow. It is possible that hole assignments may change slightly based on late sign-ups, but I will do my best to leave people where they are. Second round hole assignments will be based on first round scores, as usual. I plan to have hole assignments posted around 6:00pm tonight.

Check-in will begin at 7:45am. ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN THE MORNING OF THE EVENT. Full players' packs will be available for anyone who signed up before the shipping cutoff. If your full pack is not available in the morning, the remaining items will be mailed to the address you provided at registration.

Ace Pot: There will be an optional $5 ace pot. Make sure you get in on that when you check in! If no aces are hit during either round, we will throw off before the awards.

Players Meeting will be at 8:45 at tournament central. Hole assignments will be posted Friday evening, so you are free to go straight to your starting hole if you feel comfortable with the written OBs. The event is a shotgun start. We will start at 9:00 a.m. That means you should be on your hole and ready to throw at 9:00 a.m.

Weather: The weather is incredible this week, but there looks to be a front coming in on Friday. Expect it to be cold and possibly wet (or snow) on Saturday. Dress warmly! I recommend keeping an eye on the road conditions to see if you need to leave your house a little earlier to get to the course on time. Please focus on your speed of play during the event; the faster we play, the faster we can get out of the cold! We will monitor the weather closely and adjust plans in the interest of players' safety.

Water: Due to the accelerated spread of COVID-19 in our area, water jugs will not be provided for this event. We will bring a couple of cases of water, but all players should bring extra water for themselves in case we run out.

Lunch: You will have an hour and 15 minutes for lunch after the last card is turned in. We will post the second-round tee time on the PDGA page as well as the Facebook event page. That can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/673090717259721

OB Sheets will only be available digitally. I will not have any printed copies available. They are attached to this email and are loaded into the PDGA digital scorecard. Any flagged lines are understood to extend infinitely along the line created by the last two flags. Overall, the OB will be minimal. Let's see some low scores!

Scoring: We will use PDGA Live Scoring for the tournament. pdga.com/score The password is creek. EVERY CARD MUST KEEP A DIGITAL SCORECARD! DON'T FORGET TO FINALIZE YOUR SCORE ONCE THE ROUND IS OVER! Each card must keep two scorecards, preferably both on PDGA Live Scoring. Paper scorecards will be available, but UDisc also works as a good backup.

Awards: This is a trophy-only event. Division winners will receive a Trophy Pin - Provided by Disc Golf Pins. Winners of qualifying divisions (MA1, MA40, MA50, MA2, FA1, FA2, FA40) with 5+ players will earn an invitation to the National Championships in Austin, TX the last week in October. Winners of any division with 12 or more players will earn free entry into the Arkansas NADGT State Championships in July!

Divisions: If you wish to change divisions due to qualifying conditions--specifically having less than 5 players in your division or you signed up for a non-qualifying division--please let me know. Since you are not competing for payout at this event, it might be worth testing yourself in a different division than you usually play!
