I HAD A FEW EMAILS KICK BACK, SO HERE IS THE INFO I SENT OUT:
Some information to get you ready for Sunday -
Parking: Please pull in as close as possible to the adjacent car when you arrive! If the lot is full, you can park down below next to the old driving range. Carpooling is always encouraged.
Schedule: Check in will start at 8:15 and finish up by 8:50. After check-in please can proceed to your assigned starting hole. Shotgun start at 9am.
Doubles Format: Keeping in mind that this is a non-sanctioned event, please be respectful and follow the basic disc golf rules. This event will be an alternate shot doubles event (PDGA guidelines for format in section B.05.E -
https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/appendix-b)
Example:
Player A tee's off on every "odd" hole
Player B tee's off on every "even" hole
Player A will throw the first drive, Player B then throws from the lie resulting in Player A's throw, alternating shots until the hole is completed. Only one person is throwing per lie rather than the traditional “best shot doubles”.
Your team completes a hole when the appropriate team member completes the hole.
The score for a team on a hole is the number of throws by that team, plus any penalty throws.
A throw by the incorrect team member is a misplay and incurs one penalty throw. The throw is disregarded, and the correct team member throws. If an additional throw has been made after the incorrect team member has thrown, the team receives two penalty throws, and play continues.
For any re-throw from the same lie, the same player makes the re-throw.
The team receives a score of par plus four for any hole missed by a late or absent team member. If either team member withdraws or is disqualified, the team is disqualified.
Love Bugs: Each team can purchase up to 5 Love Bugs (or Mulligans). If you have not done so already, you can bring exact cash on Sunday or pay via paypal ($5 for 1 and 5 for $20). You will be given “tickets” that can be used (you will need to identify that you are using a love bug prior to the re-throw). Only one team member can re-throw per love bug.
Scorekeeping: We are working on setting up a UDisc event for scoring purposes. Please make sure you or your partner have the app downloaded. We will also have paper scorecards if you prefer that method. If you use paper, after your round is over, please turn in your scorecard to Nikole or Allegra.
Payouts and CTPs: CTPs or “Closest to The Pin” is the person whose disc lands the closest to the basket on the drive. CTPs markers will be red roses, so be on the lookout for the rose for your division. If you are the last group to play a hole, please pick up the CTP rose and bring it back to Nikole or Allegra, even if it’s not for your division's CTP.
CTPs will be -
All Divisions – 17
PRO Division – Hole 14
PRO-Mixed Division – Hole 2
AM Division – Hole 7
AM Mixed Division – Hole 16
Ladies – Hole 6
Payouts will be distributed via PayPal within the following week. If you are not around to claim your CTP prize after the event it will be available at 360 Disc Golf the following week.
Covid Protocols: Please wear a mask when signing in.
