UPDATE: We're elated about the excitement that everyone is showing for Battle at the Bluff 2022! It's awesome that everyone wants their friends to join them in the tournament. However, due to the overwhelming amount of card requests, we are finding it difficult to accommodate everyone's requests. Because of that, at this time, we can no longer promise that requested cards are going to be granted. We hope that you all understand. One of the most amazing things about the disc golf community is the chances we have to play with others and gain new friends. We hope that this tournament will be one of those opportunities to make new friends and memories. See you on Saturday!

Kick off 2022 by testing your skills at Battle at the Bluff! The first tournament of the year for Davis County Disc Golf (and most anywhere else in the world)!

What's become an annual tournament will continue to play at the beautiful traditional golf course at Schneider's Bluff in West Point, Utah. For those of you who have played there, you already get it. For those who have yet to experience one of the nicest courses around, here is what you can expect: manicured fairways with strategically located short and rough grass, trees that stand as either guidelines to the baskets or provide an opportunity for the perfect make up shot, water (or ice) and sand hazards just to keep you honest, and a classy club house with any amenities you may need. Truly, this may be the best tournament to start the year of 2022 of on the right foot (no foot faults).

This event will play the same temporary layout as last year (course previews located under the Videos tab). We will play TWO 18 HOLE COURSES that will span the FRONT course, as well as the short course and driving range. Some existing holes on the front will be modified so there will be a lot more birdie-able holes.

All Ams will receive a players pack that include two rounds on the golf course, and a custom stamped disc. Possible additions to be added at a later date.

All Pro Payouts will be paid out through PayPal. Winners receiving payout will be contacted. All Amateur Divisions will receive their payout through the Infinite Discs system. If you finish in the top 45% of your field, you will receive Infinite credit that will be directly added to your Infinite account soon after the event.

Please be aware of the cancellation/refund policy. Remember, this is still a winter month. Hope for the best weather, plan for the worst.

Remember to invite all your friends and family who would like to play. This is a course that will accommodate all levels of play. The successfulness of this tournament depends on how each of you treat it, so let's keep tradition together and continue to make it excellent!

Saw this posted on FB a while back: "There is not a "Caddy Book" for battle at the bluff. All of the hole info will be uploaded to the PDGA website and available on live scoring. We will also make that info available elsewhere the day of the event. Creating a caddy book this time of year, not knowing if snow will cover bunkers/greens is near impossible to do too far in advance."

Just a quick word about practice rounds:
1- Always call for a tee time. With the lack of snow this month, the golf course has been full of ball golfers. When I rolled up to the Bluff this last Saturday, it looked busier than a midsummer day.
2- You may not be able to play the tournament layouts until the event. You will probably be able to play a lot of the tournament holes if you get out there, but not necessarily all in order. This is a ball golf course first, and we as disc golfers need t ... more

when will be the last day i can drop out? i was playing the tag opener for the Wasatch and my back went out on hole 3 i finished the round but filling it pretty good yesterday and today. i am hoping it fills better and i don't have to but....... i was looking forward to this also thank for everything.

You can submit a refund request asap and you should be ok. Refunds will be given up until 5 days before the event

Sorry for the delayed response. Hopefully soon. They have had a lot of golfers out there with the lack of snow. We'll put it out on Facebook when the courses are set up in tournament layouts.

You bet, Justin! Tournament updates can be found on the Davis County Disc Golf FB page. We were able to setup the WEST course last weekend. It is available to play with a tee time from The Bluff. The layout is on Udisc and marked with white flags on all tees.
