I got it. Where do you want me to take it?

Greg Hines   November 14, 2021 at 11:54pm

If possible just hold onto it until we got something going on next time out at oxbow I’m sure you’ll be there

Jason Samuel   November 15, 2021 at 2:12am

I'd be happy to. Keep me posted. Thanks again!

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE tonight at 11:00 p.m. EST.

To date, I have processed a total of 29 withdraws. So far, each time there's been a withdraw, there's also been a player on the waitlist ready to take the spot. As a reminder, here is our refund policy that has been posted on this site since Aug. 1:

"Players who officially request to withdraw from the event between November 1 and November 11, 2021 will receive a 100% cash refund minus a $10 fee ONLY if their spot in the tour ... more

It's done. Sometimes the PDGA website is delayed on posting updates. It is official now.

Yes if I’m able to get my money back

Kevin Simms    November 9, 2021 at 9:35pm

Ok let me know if anyone wants to join. I can make it Saturday if I have to but it would make it easier if someone else wants to take my spot so just keep me informed

Jason Samuel   November 10, 2021 at 12:30am

Kevin, there is one person on the waitlist. Are you saying that you want to withdraw? Let me know your intentions. Thanks.

Kevin Simms    November 9, 2021 at 12:54pm

Is there anyone on the waitlist?

Jason Samuel   November 9, 2021 at 1:09pm

No. Not at this time (8:09 a.m. EST). But that could change. The waitlist is open.

Jason Samuel    November 9, 2021 at 1:23am

The next PDGA player ratings update will be published on Tuesday, November 9th. These ratings will be used to determine the eligible divisions for all players registered for the Turkey Shootout on Saturday, November 13th.

If a player's rating rises above the threshold for the division they are currently registered, I will move that player "up" into the appropriate division. If a player's new rating allows them to move "down" into another division I will ONLY move ... more

Good news if you want to get some practice rounds in this weekend. I spent a few hours out at Ox Bow after work on Thursday. The water continues to recede. The walking bridge next to the spillway is open. The spillway is still too high to cross. You can park there and walk in. Most of the course is in very good shape. However, a few holes still have significant water on them. As of Thursday, holes 4, 9, and 11 are unplayable. The river has subsided from holes 12 and 13 but remains very high on the left edge of the fairway. There is also standing water on the fairway of hole 12.

Ty is planning on caddying for me, but if a spot becomes available; I’d love for him to be able to play.

Jason Samuel   November 8, 2021 at 4:22pm

My recommendation is to have Ty register for the event. There's been a lot of movement from the waitlist to the registration list over the past week especially. If he doesn't get in I will refund his entry in full as I would for anyone on the waitlist.

Any backup plan if the course remains flooded?

Aaron, that's a very fair question. We will use Ox Bow. Significant resources have been invested into the event at Ox Bow, some of which include the cost to open the park 90 minutes early, insurance coverage, shelter rental, and countless hours of work put in by volunteers and parks department ... more

Aaron Waggoner   November 3, 2021 at 11:57pm

Cool. Thanks Jason for the thorough explanation! Appreciate you friend!

Jason Samuel   November 4, 2021 at 12:49am

You're welcome. If I was playing I'd want to know, too. I'm looking forward to you carving up Ox Bow or Ox Bow carving you up. Either way, it's gonna be a great day for disc golf! See you soon.

Tournament info shows park is opening at 7:30. Usual open for park is 9 am. Is the park making accommodations, opening early?

Jason Samuel   October 29, 2021 at 3:11pm

Yes. The main gate will be open at 7:30 a.m. for players and event staff.

What is the field size for MA3? Thinking of moving up (along with 1 other waitlist person)

Jason Samuel   October 20, 2021 at 1:20am

No restrictions. Move at your discretion.

Jaron Mallo    October 19, 2021 at 1:18pm

Is waitlist by division? So I need someone to drop out of MA2 for me to be in? what about if someone drops from another division with no waitlist?

Its hard to tell the waitlist order, how it is now. I am 3rd or 4th on the overall waitlist (if you are doing it that way)

Just wondering

Thanks!

It is not by division. It will be done by time of registration. It's my first time using DGS and I'm not sure what settings I had in the set up that calculated the waitlist as such. You are currently 4th overall on the waitlist behind Caleb, Ethan and Lisa. Thanks for the question. Keep t ... more

Sounds good! I am confident I'll get in, hopefully the weather stays nice!

Jason Samuel   October 19, 2021 at 7:32pm

I love that attitude. I hope so, too. It will be good to see you.

Casey Stump    October 14, 2021 at 1:47am

I signed up back in September but just registered to be a PDGA member number #193509. Could I get that applied to my registration and the non-member fee refunded?

Jason Samuel   October 14, 2021 at 4:23pm

Done.

Phill Feldman    October 11, 2021 at 12:24am

How does the wait list work? Do we sign up and pay then get a refund if we don't play or just pay after you get to play?

Jason Samuel   October 14, 2021 at 4:24pm

Yes. Sign up and pay. If spots do not open up you will receive a full refund.

Aaron Waggoner    September 27, 2021 at 12:11pm

I guess move me to Advanced since there aren't enough in AM40.

Jaron Mallo    September 21, 2021 at 12:30pm

What is available for payouts? Do you have a vendor or your own stock?

Jason Samuel   September 22, 2021 at 12:15am

The payouts will be cash for pros and plastic for ams. I do not have my own stock. I will be using a vendor.

Jaron Mallo   September 22, 2021 at 6:59pm

Ok, thank you. Hopefully my schedule will allow me to play!

Jason Samuel   September 24, 2021 at 9:09pm

I hope so, too. It will be good to have you.

Aaron Waggoner    September 15, 2021 at 8:43pm

There are so few players in am40. Any chance you would consider combining am 40 and 50 to make one masters division?

Jason Samuel   September 16, 2021 at 11:37am

Aaron, I feel you. I know what its like to be in a division with a low census. MA40 and MA50 will not be combined. On the bright side there's still 58 days until the event. Let's hope that others sign up.

Jason Samuel    September 7, 2021 at 11:49pm

Today the MA4 (Novice) division was opened up for registration. Any player who is already registered for the event with a rating below 850 may switch to the MA4 division. New players may join and register for MA4 if their rating is below 850 (men) or below 725 (women).

Currently registered players are not required to switch divisions if their current rating is below 850. You may prefer to play in your age protected division or in a division above your rating because you want to earn more poin ... more
