I just saw in the info that this event no longer has day of registration, and is no longer accepting players after noon earlier today. Is there a reason that the registration for this event has changed from years past, as it has always been available to sign up for this online within two days of the tournament, and has always (in the past) accepted walk ups? This pretty much blindsided myself as it's never been this way before. Between the LCQ (if everyone playing it got in) and those on the players list for the State Championship, you still have 79 available spots that could have been filled. I'm just curious as to the decision for the change in the signup date deadline from years past. I'm not trying to be a jerk. I am openly disappointed that I won't be able to play this year due to this unforeseen change and honestly would like to know if there's a way to know if this will be the format going forward. It's been open for registration up to the tournament for well over 10 years, and though I am not owed an answer, I would love to understand the reason for the change.

I believe Steve is referring to this: In the event that a Pool with mixed divisions has to play the Last Chance Qualifier, the available spots in the Championship will be divided proportionally based on divisional registration for LCQ.
