Hello! This will serve as our player email. I will cover some things here, and then list out all the signage that will also be available on the course on each tee pad. If at any time you have a question, on or off the course, please reach out to me. I will be playing during the rounds, so please only contact me during play if there is an emergency.

Play Smart:
NEVER throw into a blind area or when players, spectators, pedestrians or other facility users are within range. Use a spotter.
Respect the Course:
Observe all posted rules. No littering, graffiti, or abuse of equipment or flora.
Represent the Sport:
Be positive and responsible. Teach others.
Parking is located next to hole 1 in a dirt lot and in the main lot by Tiger Pond.
Restroom facilities can be found next to hole #10.
Please use on course trash collectors, or pack out whatever you pack in!
The weather is hard to predict this time of year. Last year our tournament ended with a flash flood! Be prepared for heat, rain or a mix of both. Please be prepared for the long time of play. I am expecting each round to last around 3 hours+. We will have water stations all throughout the course, as well as shade tents where we can. Keep hydrated and your blood sugar up with some snacks! Bring your sunscreen, hats, umbrella or whatever you may need to stay healthy during the whole event!
No lunch will be provided on Saturday, so be sure to enjoy one of the many establishments in Aztec, like the classic A&W! On Sunday we will be doing a full BBQ!
Both rounds will be a shotgun start.
You will be able to find your hole assignments for round 1 at

We will be using the digital score card. Only one person will need to take scores for each round on the digital score card. One additional person will need to keep a back up card, such as Udisc or paper card.

I will have your player pack ready Saturday morning from 7-8 a.m. There is a practice basket next to hole 1’s tee pad, which is where the event staff will be set up. Player packs are consisting of a dri fit shirt, limited tournament only Hard Moonshine Keystone custom stamp, Dynamic Discs blue camo luggage tote, raffle ticket, 10% off coupon courtesy of Chasin Aces Disc Golf Supply, reusable shopping tote courtesy of the City of Aztec and an ice cold gatorade. Come early so you can be sure to get what size you want and disc! First come first serve.
The player meeting will start at Saturday, at 8 a.m. sharp and will end approximately 8:15 a.m.
Play will start at 8:45 both days, giving players plenty of time to make their way to hole assignments.
A note to the course and terrain habitat – there has been rattlesnakes observed on the course. Please use caution and keep your eyes and ears vigilant, specifically around hole 18.
We will have cold Gatorades provided from the San Juan Basin Disc Golf Club.
A special note to the ace challenge that is taking place on Hole #13. This is the only hole that will be eligible for the challenge. It is a special location, open and straight and should be attackable by all that get a disc 300'. Your fees are included in your player pack, and you will have an opportunity for both rounds. This is all done through Grow Disc Golf, and they will be the ones issuing the check. Here is the link for more info:

There are several conditions in order for the payout to be made. Each person before they through must say their name and what disc they are throwing and present it to the camera. We will have a recording station set up behind the tee pad. Make sure to say your name and what disc mold you are throwing. If you hit an ace, the volunteer (my wife Jessica) will follow you to the basket. The video cannot stop during this time, and when you reach the basket make sure when you pull it out, you again say your name and the mold! Here is an example video of how it should go:

If there is multiple aces in the same round, the pot will be split up as Grow Disc Golf notates in their website. I really, really, REALLY hope someone get's to win some big money. How awesome would that be!!!
On Sunday after the round we will be having a BBQ, awards ceremony, and raffle! Raffle tickets will be for sale for $5 for 1, $10 for 3, or $20 for 7 cash, venmo, paypal or card. The grand prize is one of the custom NM DD Bags that were in very limited supply this year! Everyone will get one ticket in their player pack.
I have a $60 gift certificate to Dynamic Discs online shop. We will be having a special competition on Sunday after the round while everyone is getting their lunch. It will be awarded to the best "Performer"! I'll have more details at the player meeting tomorrow!
